Maybe it would be better and easier to just ignore quotes altogether? Problem is that when you're counting you don't pay attention to the posts themselves. Quotes have like a really light border around them, I might overlook it. Take any job that requires you to count stuff (e.g. volunteer to count for MAL Moe) and you'll realise that it's a lot easier for the counters if people don't try to make it difficult to count. And recount. |

| Hmm. I never really made a policy on what happens when people use lists / sigs that are made by others. I generally stuck with, if the sig / list is under that person's name, it's under that person's name. Just for your information, the first ever MAL Award we had, which was list design, the top 5 was made up of 3 lists all made by the same person (the person's list and two other people whom he made the list for). If the person was to win, but they didn't make the list, they should send me a request to put the creator's name on the banner or something, and to provide credit on the congrats thread. And the MAL Awards isn't large enough to warrant two threads. I'll let posts slide through. Just not anything that confuses me when it comes to counting nominations. |

| Umm... Vertago, your sig is outside our rule limits. (It's nice though) Sigs cannot be larger then 600 by 110 px. Actually deviate shouldn't have that additional banner on his sig also since that exceeds the limits too. Should make some changes before the mod starts to PM you, lol. :P |

It can only exceed 110 in height if your signature is a MAL sig. however..... Putting 40 px (just an example) on top and bottom as a border does NOT count as being part of your MAL sig >__> need help understanding? Ask Kanashimi or Kei-clone... or if you're really confused/angry about the rule, go talk to Xinil. |

| Okay looking at this whole thing on rules with sigs and talking to some people, I've come to the conclusion that I don't understand what is and isn't allowed in the rules and it isn't my concern anymore. Please ignore me. XD And if you're wondering why I'm being such a terrible staff member um... my responsibilities lies with all the databases here, not the forum and community. :P |
| the height of the sig list is exactly 94px. Does that mean we can only use an extra 16px as out for the border,the pic design or whatever we use it for? i have noticed that most of the sigs are a little bit over 110px in height. so are we allowed to go a little bit over the height of 110px and make sure we do not over do it? |

| went back to my previous one....will play around a bit a more to make it smaller (or just scrap it and make another) and change it after noms are over. heh sry for the debate i caused. though i would like to know the exact rules |

| Well, I've always been flexible with what people can type in these award threads anyway. So I don't mind. And we're not exactly off topic (and I started it, lol). I like our sig limit though, but I abhor large sigs so *shrugs* might just be me. If everyone wants a more proper answer about the sig sizes I'll go contact Kana right now and see what she says. Since I really don't know. Might be what Zarin just said though. Probably is a case by case basis of who we will and will not allow. The way I see it, if you go over the limit by a bit no one will notice or care. But have a huge ass sig and the PM will obviously be coming your way. 2 more days for nominations by the way. So last minute nominations better start coming now. |
