This was the biggest disappointment out of all the DBZ movies so far, not because it's the worst but because I was so hyped for it. Everybody told me how this was the best DBZ movie and what an amazing villain Broly was. I had also personally seen the new Broly movie which I loved so much, so I was expecting the world of this film and it failed to deliver even a mediocre viewing experience. 1/5

So, this is the big one. Longest running time, biggest villain.

Annoying opening with Chi-Chi and Kuririn played for jokes.

I like the overall premise. The mystery of the legendary super saiyan (which isn't much of a mystery) and the focus on Vegeta and his royal status. The enslaved aliens have a great and cute design as well. The running time really helps in creating a sense of the new world and characters, which is a step up from some of the films.

Paragus is a cool villain. Not that strong but a schemer, which is always interesting in Dragon Ball. Broly himself is really boring though. Just a big angry guy. He's the type of character that non-fans think Dragon Ball is. His connection with Goku is just weird.

I don't care much for the fight in this one either. In the previous films, I've always preferred the fights against the henchmen, but this time there are none. Most of the film is just one long fight with an overpowered character, and it isn't all that interesting. I do like that it's not just one on one though. Would have wanted a better ending and some smarter way to bring down Broly as well.

I loved Piccolo picking up Vegeta by the head and dragging him around. It was about time somebody treated him like the piece of shit he is.

Best part of the film was Master Roshi challenging Broly and calling him Broccoli. Just as with Oolong, it's nice that he appears in so many of the films.

Somebody at Toei: "Guys, why we don't put Conan the Barbarian in the DBZ universe and we mix it with some bits of Wolverine? it should be cool! it doesn't matter if everything else (except for ChiChi, I'll always defend her against those who find her annoying) makes one small bit of sense, Conan the Barbarian and Wolverine are cool and this is going to be cool too!"
Me watching this trainwreck: "this is the uncoolest Conan the Barbarian thing tentatively mixed with Wolverine ever imagined on earth. BIG thumbs down".
What an absolute piece of shite! worst waste of badwith I ever had the displeasure of suffering in a VEEEEERY long time.
It reminds me of the terrible series Purgatori: The Vampire's myth by Brian Pulido. Same exact quality of "writing" (AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH), same concept of "hey, we have something cool here (in Purgatori's case, the covers), let's try to build something around it and fail miserably in every sense and term!"
I would give it - 1000 if only I could.
