I was not expecting fan service, what? Still pretty good and I can related to Gen as I've gone solo camping before. Quite the fun experience if your prepared for it.
Go read Berserk and One Piece they're the best thing ever

Surprisingly good. Is this really 2-cour as listed atm? I went into this season with two sequels set (Grand Blue, Sono Bisque Doll) picking up two other shows (+ the romance one with the elite school girl + delinquent school boy). Cooking anime (Fermat) does not look too good so far.

But this one ... the pci already gave kinda Tonbo (loved it) vibes. Just that the female char is older here as well. (Technically the age gap would allow for a relationship to develop since she is an adult.)

I absolutely love the personality of the main chars. And how the girl feels kinda noisy/annoying + getting the guy to still act nice towards her lol. Feels kinda cute watching them together. Might my secret (personal score high, 8+) favorite - amonst the other generally on MAL high scored stuff. (Of where I actually am watching 3 with 8+ score now ... super rare lol. I mainly pick the stuff rarely watched and barly managing the 7+ if even.)

I wonder if they ever explain/show the jobs of the two adults. Or maybe it is just them meeting at the camp site? I doubt she's a chef - she would have bragged about it while cooking then. Lol. Probably some normal office girl + the guy doing physical labor I guess.

Kusano is being overly demanding was very off-putting and annoying. Kinokura just wanted a chill and peaceful time, but I guess that’s asking for too much. I feel for the guy. Of course she pesters and coaxes Kinokura to no end in sight until her way is met even after him saying no every time.

24 episodes was unexpected. I’ll continue with this due to the romance.

Fortunately this season is stacked which includes the rom anime I’ve been waiting for. So it’s all good.

I mostly enjoyed this first episode, but wow Shizuku really dragged it down.

I guess she is like kind of cute, but she was being way too pushy. She went solo camping for the first time and did little to no research before going, and pretty much demanded to stay with a guy who clearly wanted to be left alone, staying the night in his tent, letting him sleep outside in the cold, and even threatened to blackmail him for looking at her panties, which is like... what? LOL this is not a good way to introduce a character.

I think right now the only thing I actually like about Shizuku is the fact that she has a nice ass, but I was not expecting fanservice to show up in this show lmao normally I'm all for fanservice. I love to see it, but I just wanted some cozy camping tonight, and unfortunately Shizuku was just kind of there to ruin that and be very unlikeable. Seriously what exactly am I supposed to think about her after that introduction?

It is the first episode so she's probably going to get less annoying as time goes on but yeah that kinda sucked tbh. I'm not surprised at all to see people dropping this because of Shizuku. The moment I finished the episode I had a feeling people would not be too into this.

At least the OP was nice.

I'm going to keep watching for now, but Shizuku is going to need some serious character development.

Basically the premise of the first episode is like the first episode of Yuru Camp. We have Rin-chan, who wanted a quiet, solo camping by herself, but replace her with a 34 year old guy. Then dimwitted Nadeshiko came bumbling into her tranquil solitude, but make her 20 years old. Upgrade the Cup-noodle into a beer-roast chicken for two.

Not that I’m complaining. I see there’s live-action version of this show before. Still, looks an interesting watch.

I like the overall concept and Gen, but the girl is annoying af. Her character type is the one I hate the most in anime. I'll watch a bit more to see if it's worth suffering through her crap.

This is the second series this season where an annoying brat gets to do as they please, coaxing some guy. I just can't.
@aranami THANK YOU! I can't with her either. I relish my alone time. Someone pushy like that is too much. She ruined his trip and has no remorse. I wanted him to pack his things and leave since she wouldn't. I don't know why he gave her his name. I guess he's a good guy. Poor fool.

This is my season of no suffering thru characters I truly dislike.

Like I get the concept and love the whole setting. But in reality, if I was Gen, I'm sorry but this is straight up entitlement and I'd be very mad if she guilt tripping me like this.

Bro this lowkey kinda sucks with the female lead because she's so annoying to me. I thought this would be a peaceful series, but nope I'm stuck with painful screaming from a woman like a old female anime trope and I thought we were passed authors making the anime girls annoying due to the authors not knowing how to write anime girls. 2/10 so far.

This was alright. I am not raving over the girl or the fact we get fanservice the second we first meet her, but the main theme of the series feels unique enough for me to continue watching it, though I am hoping it'll lean more towards being a SoL and not a comedy later. I'm glad this will be airing over half a year, that's a lot of chill evenings to be had with this show.

As for the visuals, they're nothing to write home about and I spotted one pretty noticeable animation error, but I don't really care. I'm used to new series that don't get the spotlight looking like this. I like the ending theme, fits the tone of the anime well in my opinion.

Was a bit too chaotic to my liking. Should have paid more attention to the title. But well...I guess I'll be camping here again next week.

Yeah Shizuku said the name of the title which doesn't make much sense when you think about it but her stubbornness won out in the end so it's going to be a thing. Regarding this first episode, so far it seems like it will be a somewhat comfy series with Gen showing Shizuku how to camp and her cooking different dishes like beer can chicken (never heard of it but it sounds good). Anyways, I'm curious to see how they will keep this interesting besides providing occasional (hopefully) fanservice.

Holy shit, can anyone actually sit through that annoying ass behaviour?
Is that girl a princess that never got reality checked or something? Otherwise, that kind of entitlement is actually insane.
Given I can't even make it through the first episode, no thanks.

Yeah, like we are going to believe she'll leave him alone. The pushiness was annoying but at least she can cook. And if she can keep silent maybe Gen-san can still enjoy his "solo" camp.

A solo camping trip turned into a solo camping trip for two.
I had made a note of this manga and waited for the anime.
I liked the first episode.
Gen likes camping alone, but now he won't be alone.
Shizuku is very pretty.
Let's see how it continues.
The opening is nice.

I swear this is like the author or the creator dream to meet a girl suddenly when they go camping.

yo this has got to be the oldest most rugged looking 34 year old Ive ever seen portrayed in my life, dude looks divorced with 2 kids going on a freakin midlife crises over here. i get age is irrelevant in terms of anime in general but for the genre this is super unusual, this isn't a hentai, ecchi, or isekai/fantasy/sci fi. there simply isn't any reason to really push the boundaries of reality that way.

It was ok, very detailed but also very slow, is just I can't stand watching this show full of those old cliches about the bitter, rude, jerky guy while the other person endures until this guy gives in, it's too tiring for me
