Guys I really think these threads all over the internet just miss the point of the show. The story is made carefully enough so that both sides are plausible to side with, obviously.

The main theme of the series - as if it were news - is the moral grayness involved in war, and how no sides are right or wrong so until the cycle is somehow broken, peace can't be attained.

Yes, exactly. The ecstasy to be egoistic is unbearable, just look at Marley, they stated to agreed on Fritz decision to create Helos tale but over time Marley shown to be so ecstasic to be an imperialistic country. Especially on this topic, Paradis main assets are power and wealth(money related) which is the most most most temptating thing ever exist lol.

So if it does really end up going like that, then it's nothing but postponing the war. What's the difference with making it happened earlier?

Yeagerist basically wants all of this getting done with "single" step. That's why you can see how determined and totalitarian they are all this time.

Yes, bc I'm 99.9% sure the other "peaceful" alternative leads to inequality. Irl, if some poor person murdered a billionaire who only donates for his own profits, never ever actually helping the needy, it would not be bad/sad news to me. I mean, it's either genocide of the Eldians living in Paradis cause the whole world is against them or genocide geared towards ending the endless cycle of war and hatred towards Eldians. No matter what side you're on, you're picking genocide. If Eren doesn't do something to protect the citizens of Paradis and Eldians in general from being viewed as people with tainted blood, the whole world will continue to treat Eldians like shit and will eventually move towards genocide of the Eldians in Paradis. Since I'm a huge fan of the way Eren's character has developed over the course of the series, I'm definitely rooting for him. In either case, saying that what you're supporting is "right" and the other party is "wrong" is fucking dumb cause genocide is bad, kids. I know, hot fucking take right there. No matter how you spin it and what context you try to offer, genocide is never the answer cause you can never put a price on human life.

Eren's trump card is Pixis' battle-logic: knowing this he knew there'd be no pushback or consequence. To say you support one 'side' or the other doesn't mean much.

Personally, anarchists don't align with my personal morality. Given the situation, chaos ironically promotes stability, giving Eren a justifiable means for destabilizing the establishment. Whatever comes next is important, not what spurred it.

I don't support Marley at all. They forced children to be soldiers with threats. I DO however, love Reiner, Bertholdt, Annie, Porco, Colt, Gabi, Falco etc. I understand Erens pov, but I'm definitely not a "Jeagerist".

I'm actually genuinely scared by how many people justify what Eren/the Yeagerists are doing.

They are talking about murdering millions of people. That includes civilians, children, a shitton of people who had absolutely nothing to do with this conflict. Hell, it even includes the Eldians in the rest of the world, who've suffered just as much as the Paradis people.

How can anyone think about that and just shrug it off, saying "meh, necessary sacrifice"? I can take it in the anime, but seeing people make that argument in real life is genuinely terrifying to me.
