I am also from Turkey. Contrary to what you have said, Turkish people love this series. On their websites Shingeki no Kyojin is always remains at the top 5. In addition, the people who had been shown in the anime neither Turks nor Arabs. They were resembling the Ottoman Empire's soldiers, which was a multicultural empire. Also, Fun fact name Eren is a Turkish name and commander Erwin's final suicide charge really resembles our founder Atatürk's suicide charge at Çanakkle in WWI. Atatürk had yellow hair and blue eyes like commander Erwin.

I am Turkish and I don't really care about how these "Turks" are portrayed in the anime since it is just fiction after all. besides, since the story takes place in a WW1-esque setting, it would be historically inaccurate to call them Turks, since that's not how Turkish soldiers looked on the battlefield. Regular soldiers had regular army hats, while superior officers, such as Pasha's, wore black Kalpaks, a woolen Turkic cap you can find used throughout the Caucasus and Eastern Anatolia. Here is a demonstration: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/f5/24/0b/f5240bb46401e66245a76027f8adaad6.jpg
I would also like to point out that the clothing used by the Middle-Eastern Alliance is also not historically accurate of clothing worn by both Arab revolters and Bedouin under the command of the British. Two Arab revolters:https://i.pinimg.com/originals/ce/48/7e/ce487e79d47e77ce4b0c34e19734068e.jpg
TE Lawrence with Arabic clothing:https://www.nam.ac.uk/sites/default/files/2017-02/1078055_full.jpg

In the end, any Turk or Arab worth their knowledge of history should not get offended or be bothered by this at all. The ME alliance is just a fictional entity loosely based on Middle-Eastern people. Not to mention that this just a work of fiction that is not representative of history. Besides, most of my friend already enjoy the show so we don't really care about such trivial things.

That was informative post happy to see Aot fans aren't taking this in a bad way and united.

This is kind of unrelated but its very hypocritical to see you saying that when you literally made threads after the premiere that tried to divide the fandom with controversial topics.

This thread only encourages people to post hateful comments towards people from certain countries. There's some baiting a bit everywhere too. While it started about a topic that was closely related to the anime, I'd like to remind everyone that controversial topics aren't allowed:

Anime Discussion Rules 5: Please refrain from posting thread topics which extend beyond the discussion of anime/manga as an entertainment medium to highly-debated social and/or moral issues. This includes but is not limited to: pedophilia, gender/racial equality, sexual orientation, etc.
