Ending wasn't my cup of tea.. guess I wanted to see how miyagi's life turns out.

The manga was an emotional ride, loved it.

What a time to be able to read this peak fiction manga man.
This really left me with a confused n bittersweet feeling like but it's just so wonderful we should cherish moments like these if we were irl.
I'll definitely won't forget this feeling of reading this in the first time.

Wow, the ending really got me. It really made me think about my own life. The whole thing was definitely more than I thought it would be at first, and it really made an impact on me even though it is so short. You really should make the most of every day, because we really don't know how much time we have left.

so 2 months after finishing I still find that the ending was kinda sad. A bittersweet ending which I lost some tears to. Finished it in one night the 3 hours were really well spend. A great manga

I assume this count of 18 is including Chapter 11.5 and Chapter 16.5, right?

Otherwise, I’m not sure how this gained two extra full chapters, lol.

This was an undoubtably beautiful manga. In such a short time the author was able to bring me to tears yet leave me with such an amazing level of appreciation for both life itself and her writing and art style. 10/10 I would defiantly give this a read. Only 16 chapters and it is INCREDIBLE.

not a fan of the teenage teensy nihilistic turn it took at the end to probably aim for the audiences heart string but ehh it was alright up untill that mark.

This manga might be the most relatable thing that I have ever read. First of all, the dudes life being worth a measly 30 yen is really relatable, I personally don't think I have any future or none of that stuff, same as this guy did, And its had me thinking how I wish I could sell off my lifespan same as he did. It'd be a hell of a lot cleaner than suicide after all. Someone said It would change my point of view on things through reading this but I haven't changed, it only like made me more like this, The way his life was worthless and having little to live for is something I feel i can relate to alot and I thank this manga for bringing me so much comfort. This is my new favourite manga of all time and she be read by every person on the earth. How he was talking about how everything was meaningless after death, famous or not, rich or not, happy or not. Its a horrible way of viewing things yet I can't help but view things that way myself. I love this manga.

Don't really understand why some people see this as an open ending. The guy in this extra chapter did the complete opposite of kusonoki. The extra chapter is meant to show us that there is really no reason to sell your lifespan.

You got a dark future? Low price, not even worth selling.
Got a bright future? Why would you even sell that?

Kusonoki on the other hand sold his life when it's dark (30 years) AND bright (30 days). Just to show how contrasting these two ppl are. That's all i got from the extra chapter.

Exactly. Not to mention that kusonoki was also tricked by miyagi to believe that the money he would get from selling was actually more than it really was valued (ofc she explained her reasons for that and all). Anyway, it was about the meaningful things he got out of doing such an ultimately pointless deal

i'm assuming this to me is the 16.5 extra chapter for Miyagi's point of view of him and it really is a bittersweet ending since we never got to see how they lived their last 3 days together 😭
