Delusion 10: By now, it's gotten to the point where I watch these solely to see the acting from Phillip and Terui. Golgo 13 reference was unexpected, though. My dad passed by while I was watching this and his single comment summed up these delusions quite well: "Cosplay theater?" |

What's this? I watched a KR movie BEFORE you guys? And a non Director's Cut no less? ....Or am I just simply the first to comment on it? W Forever: Talk about a movie with the fast forward button on. Is this what it's like to watch a theatrical version of a Kamen Rider film with DC plans? Because the pacing was very awkward at times. That's my only major gripe about the film, though. It was a blast. The action scenes definitely gave off a huge "THIS IS A MOVIE" vibe that's been sorely missing since Kamen Rider: The Next (the only thing that P.O.S. had going for it). It was kinda funny watching this in 2D, though. The T2 Gaia Memories flying at the screen got funny after a while. XD So, why exactly did Katsumi and Phillip look alike? This was a pretty underdeveloped plot point that'll hopefully get fleshed out in Kamen Rider W Returns: Kamen Rider Eternal. Glad to see all the leads being given something to do...except Akiko. But I can live with that. I do hope Terui will be given more to do in the DC, though. Kamen Rider Eternal was pretty sweet. I LOVED the cape, and his death scene was pretty freaking awesome. Didn't know Kamen Rider W CycloneJoker Gold Xtreme showed up in this film. Reminds me a HELL of a lot of Kamen Rider Blade King Form. I hope I'm not the only one. Random OOO cameo is random. Makes me wonder if OOO began during Kamen Rider W. Considering the two are tied together by Foundation X, I hope that's the case. So overall, definitely a fun movie although flawed. Hopefully, the Director's Cut will fix these issues. I'll be there when it comes out. |

Yeah, I was kinda busy. But I just watched it. The movie was awesome. True, things were a bit hurried, but they had just an hour to tell the whole story. The DC version might fix it and this movie is good enough to justi-phi watching it again. I don't care what Shota said, Heat girl was hot. Maria was pretty hot for a woman 42yrs old. Bouken Silver as Trigger dopant! Genki Sudo as Luna dopant! He did an awesome job. I think Silver would be a good KR. I had to go back to check the joke about Queen and Elizabeth receiving the AKB memories. For those that didn't get it, they are part of the AKB48 idol group. Masquerarade bowling with bikes! They censored the gunshot wounds. Eternal was really cool. Can't hate a kamen rider with a freaking combat knife. And those connectors that looked like gun holsters were very cool. The blue flame arms, the cape and the three horns were the cherries on top. Daido was an ok villain, but the anime hair and that much make-up didn't go well with his persona. I can't forget to mention Joker. Man, Joker is uber cool. Maybe it's because he reminds me of Black. I liked the cameos and how they focused the movie on the riders. The plot was very well written and besides the two deus ex-machinas (lost driver and the gold form), it was wrapped up pretty nicely, as was W until that terrible last episode. In fact, the tension between the partners in this film felt 100 times more real than the ones they created in the extreme arc. Probably because it had a good reason to happen. The action sequences were awesome and there was good bike action. I really liked how W used all his memories in the last battle. The movie was good all around. It could've been a little bit longer though. But in the end, they didn't give shota a chance to develop. Again. CC, I think Daido and Phil won't be a future plot point. People just look alike sometimes. And they used the same actor because they didn't want to search for a look-alike. I also wouldn't think too much of OOO's cameo. They have made the rider version of the vs. movies with Movie Wars and they've started introducing the next rider in the movies in All-Riders. They're also doing it in the Vs. movies (at least they done it with goseiger). I don't think it'll be more than that. |

Stupid STUPID in-joke. :/ I know they won't make it a plot point, but they made such a big deal out of it. Just seems like a waste to let an idea like that go. Yeah, I know that OOO's cameo was just there for advertising sake, but why would they want to fudge up their continuity so badly? Unless they literally made up OOO and W being connected in the penultimate episode w/o any planning whatsoever... |

I really liked some bits of the script, tho. When Joker does the "macho" bit. That was awesome! Luna (Never version) was so funny. Definitely a treat to watch! I can't remember seeing such an openly gay character in KR before. XD It amused me! I did like the zombie bit, and felt Never was pretty well thought out. Well, except for the fact Katsumi looked like Phil. Wha? Overall, despite pacing issues in the first half or more, it was a fun movie. Delusion 12: Okay, that was pretty funny. It was nice to see the cast and staff clearly having a ball with this final delusion, especially with all the in-jokes (Terror's head being too heavy, the actors' impersonation of the other cast members, etc.). Even though I was really hard on the show (I stand by my criticisms of the series), I am going to miss these guys. ...Oh wait, there's still the Net Episodes, Movie War Core, the Gaia Memory Encyclopedia special, and the W Returns specials. Never mind, they're not going away anytime soon. XD |

I dunno about that. Whereas Kamen Rider Den-O could arguably get away with it thanks to the Imagin cast, Kamen Rider W has no such characters to take the focus away from the leads. I don't think W is going to be as long lasting of a franchise as Den-O has turned out to be, so it won't be an issue. For instance, I imagine the Kamen Rider W Returns V-Cinema thing is going to become just another annual tradition Toei does for the Kamen Rider programs (it's already becoming a tradition on the Super Sentai front, Goseiger's getting a V-Cinema special this April like Shinkenger did). However, I don't think Shotaro and Phil are going to appear at all in Let's Go, Kamen Rider except maybe as a voice cameo. The crux of the focus for this film looks to be on OOO, Den-O, New Den-O, and the first three Riders. I personally don't even expect Kamen Rider Black/Black RX to cameo despite some of the rumors I've read. |

Well I don't expect them to continue W either, but my point is that it's not feasible for them to do so with the same cast. W was fun, but never had the lasting potential as Den-O, even despite it's unique premise for the rider. I think that's the only reason it's still around. |

I think what's most impressive about W is how much content there was related to it as or within a year the series aired. Most of Den-O's content has come well after the main series ended. In W's case though, there was: -Begins Night/Movie War 2010 -"WBX -W-Boiled Xtreme-" Music Video with the main cast -W Forever the Movie -Message for W/Movie War Core -Hyper Battle Video -Gaia Memory Encyclopedia Special -Delusion Diaries -Net Movies -and W Returns. That's a lot within one and a half years. |

Well, since we're all in need of a good laugh right now, Over-Time released the Kamen Rider W Net Series. I gave the whole thing a watch last night. Hands down, the best segments were the talk show segments with Kirihiko. Ahh, how I missed his smile. The drawing contest segments with the four leads were funny. I will give the show this, despite its many flaws, its leads all have a really strong chemistry. Thank you, Kamen Rider W. Thank you for reminding me how creepy Isaka was. The Gaia Laboratory segments weren't bad, but they weren't particularly memorable. Save for the UFO one. The least impressive segments were the Rider Academy segments. Just didn't find them that funny. It must be Akiko. |

skull: I liked how they made 99 look so retro XD it felt like the 30's XD Akiko has a nice voice. Young Jinno and Shota XD And they even remembered Marina. The old man from beast arc too. So Shroud built their base. And she was Soukichi's friend before she was shroud. Nice to see her kicking ass. yaguchi knows how to throw a party. Almost famous cute girls and illegal substances XD But don't you love how they went from a mansion to a factory in seconds? XD Bat girl was cute. Not sure how being a bat makes you able to control machines... Nor create metal tentacles in a truck. Nor how webs make people explode. Soukichi was cool as always and Skull too. The Skullman reference, the voice and the Toh! Though he was pretty heartless to just leave bat girl to die. Didn't like skull kick though. And a Memory Break that kills the user? new to me The windmill scene and the counting of sins was also cool. But Akiko was pretty lame this episode. And really, after 49 eps and two movies you didn't know KR had it though? Lame. And I could almost swear Melissa was Akiko's mom. Well, just an affair then. Making her look and behave like Akiko was unnecessary. In the end, and ok story, but not very cool and didn't add much to W. War core. Core was totally random and lame. why the f... a kaijin made by core medals and a random memory is called a rider? Why would a yummy want to know about skull? Suddenly Eiji was in Fuuto... They have the trouble to create a whole city and make it important to just ditch it like trash... Tajador waking Gold Exrtreme? ultra colorful finisher? Come on. The only kinda nice thing in this part was Shota reacting to Ankh and Eiji wanting his own catchphrase. LOL @ Eiji in "Rio". Kinda lame how they made a city with 6.3 million citizens look like a village... Being walked down the aisle by a ghost isn't nice, though the part about Soukichi's love showed how cool he was again. War 2010 was far more entertaining and showed more important things in the plot. I was hoping for a good movie since A to Z was awesome, but this one was total crap. I hope W returns isn't as bad. |

If War Core sucked, W returns Accel was awesome. It has everything I want to see in a KR, from awesome fights, to good plot and an interesting main character. The drama with Akiko was a bit unnecessary, but it didn't get in the way. Not only Jin-san was funny, but his Jackie Chan style fighting was priceless Commander was cool Bringing Nao back as Lily was nice. And having her bully Akiko was funny They really fooled me with Oono. Nice diversion. wtf, Ryu, commandeering a bus! Akiko really gets in the way and worries about the least important stuff. But if she didn't she wouldn't be Akiko... But she kinda ruined the tension with her awful timing. The couple drama wasn't bad, but that was not the time... Really liked the way they made Sagami a Ryu without meeting Shota. And tempting Ryu to come to the dark side was also a good move. Hitting a runner's leg was also very smart and a good handicap to show how the hero is awesome. That scene about Sagami saying he was evil was nice. And Ryu being a Rider to escape a dark past is so old school. Very nice. The part about the people heroes love being targeted too. Akiko has a terrible personality. The guy goes into a trap very wounded and she still bitches? Lucky her Ryu is a very nice guy. I would've liked to see her as a more supportive wife... Wait a minute. Booster flies and Trial runs very fast? Does Ryu wants to be 555? But it fits Accel's theme. And was a nice solution for a crippled leg. Not killing the enemy and helping Aoi to come clean was also very nice. The anyone can change line too. And I really like how Shota and Phil made Terui loose his cool pose XD The mistakes at the end and the girl getting the money were also cool. Last, but not least, the fighting was awesome. I really like how much they made Ryu do without transforming. I also liked that they showed him using a gun. I have big expectations for W returns Eternal. And ShinkenPink plays the heroine XD A shame they never gave Shota the chance to get as cool as Ryu was in this movie. Well, he did, both times when he was Joker, but for a very limited time. How I wish that Phil stayed dead and Shota became Joker. Shota would protect Wakana who would either be the ghost in the basement or in jail and she would help him with the searches. Shota would become very cool like Soukichi, but still with his weakness towards cute girls (but he wouldn't be a fool) and his funny personality... Well, that belongs to the fanfic territory now. |

Gaia Memory Encyclopedia: Stupid. Just stupid. I mean, I liked how they tied it in with the Hyper Battle Video, but this wasn't really funny. I liked how Shotarou toyed with the memories, and it's always nice to see something Akiko-free, but this felt like a bit of a waste of time. Shameless Terebi-kun ad is shameless, too. |

Eternal Nice scene with Daido with his neck broken. Nice car, Daido. Genki Sudo was awesome. He stole all the scenes in which he had a part. Very funny. And risqué, It's a show for kids haueheuae. And his combats were cool. Guess it's easier to do stuff with someone that actually knows how to fight. And he even got away with sexual harassment. Gun saying good job reminded me of Boukenger. Daido is smart. He went if the ladies when they got separated. Of course, the girl gets tortured... But one of those scientists died happy XD That girl was hot. Bike action ftw Wasn't professor Kagami's dad? He was very creepy, as KR villains tend to be. Eyes was a cool dopant. Eternal isn't as cool without the memory holders and the cape. I just don't understand why Daido wouldn't just use his maximun drive to defeat Eyes like he did with utopia. A lot of background information about foundation X, about Kazu being a Never, about how Daido got his lost driver and about the nevers. It also had war and violence, things we don't see everyday in a KR. The movie was entertaining. It had an ok plot and good action. I liked the Nevers and how they got along. I would definetely watch more movies with them, for instance. But I just couldn't buy why a zombue mercenary would do all that to free the Quarks. Ok, any man, dead or alive, would help Rin Takanashi and they were also guinea pigs. But still, it was the same guy that did all those stuff on Fuuto. It just doesn't add up. |

A to Z Director's Cut: It's hard to tell what's been cut or extended, though twenty minutes of new footage should seem like a lot. But it was so long ago that I last watched A to Z I had a hard time telling. I checked, and there was added stuff like Queen just about to stick the Queen T2 memory in her arm. Apparently there was quite a bit more elaborating upon Philip and Maria's relationship, and even more emphasis on how Gaia Memories and their users are linked somehow, that memories have a "perfect" user. I think they also extended the scene where Skull's ghost/whatever gives Shoutarou his driver. Did Skull turn into Soukichi at the end of that scene in the theatrical version? Maybe they just added more of Shoutarou talking? I don't remember what that scene was like. There were also extensions to fight scenes and whatnot. The most significant cut scene (or the most annoying) was added after the movie. A woman that appears to be Maria is dressing herself up in Shroud's bandages and clothes. There's some argument about what the hell this is all about. Stuff from TV-N includes "Shroud doing her makeup" and "suggests Maria was Shroud all along" (though Eternal doesn't seem to suggest this). My theory? Maria was a NEVER and didn't die when shot. She disguises herself as Shroud for some as-of-yet-to-be-revealed purpose. I also suspect that Maria and Fumine were related. Twin sisters? I glanced and it doesn't seem this is explained at all in Eternal, though I'll find out for sure when I watch. I don't think you need to watch the DC version at all. It's not better in any way. If anything, the theatrical was simply more concise and thus better; nothing was particularly elaborated upon in the DC version which was not also clear in the theatrical. |

m4rc0 said: What the hell this part about Maria... Guess I won't rewatch it then. Thnx fpr the info. I forgot to say that if you enjoyed A to Z, you might like to watch it again for the added action. I was just stating my theories about the ending. That bit at the and after the credits was VERY confusing. It didn't seem to belong to the movie at all and there's no clue about why it was added. All we see uncovered in the scene is an eye, which looks like Sugimoto Aya's (Maria). I think it's the only time they've ever shown any part of Shroud's face (at least that I can remember). I'd like to think it was Maria and not Fumine but even though they deliberately had Daido look like a young Philip I don't think Maria and Fumine are the same person. But couldn't they be related even though the resemblance was only done to emphasis the mother-son relationship between Maria and Phil? But there's no explanation at all as to how/why Maria would be still be alive (unless we assume she was a NEVER), or that she should bandage herself like Shroud. So really I'm just being crazy. In fact, when you consider where the movie sits in W's continuity, the scene is more likely to have been meant to foreshadow whatever Shroud did in the episode(s) directly following the fall of Fuuto Tower. |

Only reason I haven't watched this yet is because I actually plan on watching it with the Goseiger movie (which of course means starting from where I left off with that show). Sounds like the Director's Cut is at least worth a look, unlike some others which were just pointless. *coughcoughKamenRiderBlademoviecoughcough* |

Eternal: Well, it explained nothing about Maria herself, only reiterated most of what we knew about Daido Katsumi, and elaborated on other points. Overall good action, though the villains never seemed much contest. Come on. Psychic soldiers versus invincible zombie mercenaries? No contest. Zombies ftw! Mina was cute though, and I liked some of the elaborations. Who knew that guy from Foundation X was a Dopant, Quark, AND a Never? Awesome. He should've been more badass than he was. This movie kind of hams it up a bit, but it was of course leagues better than War Core. Man, it really does seem like W isn't going away any time soon. W and Den-O are like "permanent" Kamen Rider series. What's surprising is that Decade didn't make it there. But I guess that's what happens when you sacrifice plot and character and spend every episode pandering. |

That entire series was a total failure. |

I would've liked if they insisted on Decade a bit more, especially in the War movies. It would make more sense if every rider had his own world. Will we have more W? I don't know anything about it. |

Kamen Rider Skull: Message for W Director's Cut: I dunno about anyone else but I LOVED this segment. This is what Kamen Rider is supposed to be: part kick-ass action and part tragedy. Narumi was amazing here, he's just the epitome of awesome. I loved the battle scenes here, especially his final fight with the Bat Dopant. I loved how he was heartless against the bad guy, because you just know she was going to continue wreaking havoc on Fuuto. As for the Memory Break killing its user, you gotta consider this is probably a prototype Gaia Memory. The Sonozaki family probably haven't worked out all the kinks yet. Oh, I loved how the villains actually succeeded in ruthlessly killing several citizens. It really drove home that these guys are evil and need to be stopped. So yeah, if it wasn't for Nobunaga's Ambition, I possibly could have really dug this year's Movie War. Hopefully Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider: Fourze and OOO Movie War MEGAMAX will finally get it right. |

I'm at 3rd Ep. and I got just one question: Will that horrible bloody-irritating one-dimensional good-for-nothing girl - can't even remember her name and moreover, don't want to - yes, that one, the supposed "boss" - will she be still like that for the rest of the series? She already fucked up Shotaro's investigation and then immediately blamed it on him, for fuck's sake, and if she will not develop at least some character along with usefulness, I don't want to waste time on that series. |
There is such thing as shit taste. Only idiots think that every "work of art" should have the same value.![]() Oil and nuclear are civilisation saviours. Deal with it. |

Yes, yes she will stay that way. I did get used to her though, and I think the rest of the series deserves a watch. You could do what I do: skip the scenes with characters you despise. |

Thanks for quick response, it's already late, I'm on 44th Episode. +) 0ther people kind of pushed me to continue. Can not get used to her, and moreover, don't want to. Sadly I'm not able to skip/FF scenes, done it only for 4th Episode and did not liked how it felt. As I understand, this club is kind of half-dead now, isn't it? |
