My persona is bigger than your persona :p

lol Seriously though, with some of the QoL upgrades to P3P and Golden, it's absurdly easy to make broken Servants, especially with the stats crane in P3P where you can get any persona's stats to 99 with some patience.

Yeah the portable versions make persona building stupidly easy. I couldn't dream of making that kind of Izanagi in the original P4. I tried, and only managed Primal Force, Power Charge, and Absorb Wind I think.
I just wish P3FES would get a remake for the Vita. Maybe call it P3FES Platinum. Give Marie a cameo.

Not so far. Atlus has a history of porting their Persona games to portables, but you may wait at least 2 years, or whatever period the game will get DLC support + at least a year of development time.

Otherwise, not bad at all. With Vulkan and DX12 on the horizon, having the 480 is a great choice.
You may struggle a bit with DX 11 games and emulators, though. AMD doesn't perform as well as nvidia with them.

It should be able to play most AAA games at 1080p 60fps at high/max details. It's also completely upgradable so there is the option of changing the CPU, PSU, graphics card, add liquid cooling or whatever in the future when I have more spare cash. Comes with a paid copy of Windows 10, keyboard, mouse, and 1 year warranty, and it's actually more expensive to build the same exact PC with the same parts than to just buy it pre-built. Seems like a good choice for now. 4K is beyond my budget so none of that for me.

And it will, as long as it's not a recent DX 11 game, some PS2 games or Dolphin.
I think you'll be just fine with anything released in 2017 onwards.
PCSX2 has some weird issues with AMD's drivers in a few games, but I think the vast majority of games aren't affected by this.
Dolphin DX11 and OGL flat out perform worse with AMD cards and some games display graphical glitches due to a driver conflict AMD doesn't care to fix because they don't want to support emulators via a driver fix. nvidia sneaks the fixes in and just put them under a general "overall experience improvements".
Dolphin now supports Vulkan, which AMD are 100% behind because it gives them a performance advantage over nvidia while being platform-agnostic unlike DX 12, so, going forward, Dolphin should be 1:1 between both card manufacturers.

Sorry for the long explanation, but choosing a graphics card has a few nuances most people aren't aware of when deciding to buy one over another.

Well, it's cheaper, and there's Freesync monitors which are usually a couple hundred dollars cheaper than G-sync monitors which I'm also planning to get.

Hopefully the RX480 can at least emulate PS2 games like .Hack.

Oh, if you factor in a Freesync monitor, then you're definitely on the right track.

When it comes to pure performance-per-dollar, the 480 is an absolute beast. If you're worried about it being able to play the .hack games without bugs, i finished the trilogy + P3FES + P4 + SMT:DDS 1 and played DDS 2 and Nocturne on PCSX2 using an old ATI HD 4670 (before AMD bought ATI) a long time ago with no issues whatsoever and 60FPS at all times, so you're golden, at least as far as those games are concerned.

Also, this is how my old and busted HD 4670 that carried me through all of those games compares to your new hotness, the RX 480.
This card is an overkill at this point. It's a bit below my current GTX 970 in DX 11 games and a bit higher in DX 12/Vulkan games, and i get 250+FPS in every PCSX2 game with up to 5K supersampled resolutions lol (supersampling is rendering at a higher resolution and downscaling the image to your monitor resolution, so you get all the fidelity of said resolution without needing a higher resolution monitor).

Oh wow, you're going all out in joining the master race lol.
If you've got the cash, investing in an SSD is a must IMO. Although, i think a 480GB SSD is an overkill. You have a 1TB HDD, which should be enough for storing media and games, so I recommend going for the 250GB 850 EVO for the best performance and longest life span. It'll take Windows + a few games that need fast storage to perform better.

That monitor is great for twitch shooters, but not that great for media consumption like watching movies or anime and such.
If you value the high framerate than picture quality, you're set, if not, i think there are a lot of other better choices like the LG 29UM68-P or the 24-inch version if you don't care for ultra wide (both support Freesync to up to 75Hz).

Is it because the monitor is a TN panel instead of IPS? I read the Viewsonic XG2401 is pretty good at color production so quality isn't sacrificed as much. Aside from viewing angles, you'd use a IPS panel if you're an artist and want 100% accuracy. It wouldn't bother me as much since I've used TN panel stuff all my life honestly.

Yes, IPS has way better color accuracy. The biggest problem with TN panels are the grainy washed out colors and crushed blacks. The best TN panels just look bad when viewing videos. Unless you take competitive shooters multiplayer very seriously, you'll never really need a 1ms response time TN panel.

IPS panels aren't really for artists, they're for those who want to consume media in general. IPS panels in gaming modes reduce the response time to levels that are more than enough for single player games and 95% of multiplayer games.
Artists either use 10-bit colors panel or an OLED panel. An 8-bit IPS panel is far from being color-accurate enough for productivity.

Watch this for a short, simple and accurate explanation.

Finally got to try the Automata demo for myself. That game looks and feels amazing. It may not have the combo string complexity of Bayonetta, but the movement and the dodging feel so fluid. It's all so polished. And it's pretty hard, too, even on normal. If the demo wasn't so generous with healing items, I would probably have died a few times.

With Yoko Taro's vision and Keiichi Okabe's music, this is probably going to end up being game of the year for me.
