| Looking for Magical Doremi is available to stream now! https://myanimelist.net/anime/39585/Majo_Minarai_wo_Sagashite It was first discovered online a few weeks ago on the UK streaming service ITVX. The dub seems to have been made by an Arabic country, and since there are no dub credits included in the stream, the recording studio and dub cast are unknown (though it seems to have been distributed by Front Row Filmed Entertainment). The quality of the dub isn't great, though it's better than the Asian Itunes Violet Evergarden movie dub that released slightly ahead of the Netflix dub. That being said, I would say it's not as good as the Miami dubs for the Tubi shows, like Case Closed and Anpanman. I can't find evidence proving that the dub was available on digital stores before 2023, so it will be considered as part of the 2023 stats until proven otherwise, which is a good thing since 2023 so far is off to a very slow start. I think this is the first foreign English dub that has been added to the list, though Kenny and I discussed it over and decided to add it for now. If any more weird situations like this happens in the future, we will play it by ear and determine whether they should qualify on a case by case basis, based on a variety of different factors. ---------- Pokémon Concierge has been announced to release "soon" on Netflix! | The Netflix dub for the first episode of Vinland Saga Season 2 has been released! There are dub credits for some later episodes as well. The dubbed episode releases probably won't have a consistent release pattern and will likely just drop randomly. Does this mean that Netflix will make a habit of releasing dubbed before the season of an anime finishes? Probably not. This was likely only done because Crunchyroll is airing their own dub, and Netflix knows it needs to play ball or else many people will cave and watch Crunchyroll's dub instead of waiting many months for Netflix to drop their dubbed episodes all at once. Rather than making a post every time another Netflix dub episode is dropped, it will just be marked off in the first post of the thread what episode they are up to and will be kept up to date. Again, it probably won't be a weekly schedule for Netflix, it's just being listed there so that people can see how far the Netflix dub is. If time goes by and it appears to be an actual consistent weekly pattern like a normal simuldub, then there will be a post made about it. Edit: The first four episodes are now dubbed on Netflix, so as expected, it's going to be random episode drops and not a weekly simuldub release. |
