This is such a heartwarming response, I wish more thought this way.

Most people will say things like "Oh, I've never marry x" but if they met someone that they loved who was that, then they'd change their minds.

It's the same with race, gender, sexuality etc - there are a lot of very open people imo.

Quite a lot of people think this way actually. Let's not make this mushy perspective out to be some sort of rarity, because it isn't.

There have been a good portion of the people on this thread who follow that thought process. As do I.

It's almost pointless to even point out things like "love is all that matters" now, because of course if you fall in love with someone then their differences won't be a factor on how you feel about them, and I think a lot of people know this.

I seriously doubt it, but strange things can happen in this world. I'm general agaist the institution of marriage, because if you love someone you don't need go through some 1000 year old tradition. Well if my future partner insist to have wedding seremony, maybe I must give up for my stubbornness.

Love is such a strange thing that you can never know who to fall in love. If my future love happens to be a transgender so what?

It shouldn't matter if you do it either. If you're going to be in love with someone and you're sure you wanna spend the rest of your life with them, then you might as well reap the benefits of marriage such as tax cuts. There are a lot of legal benefits such as punching a guy in the face for touching her since she's legally your wife =d.

I don't support marriage either... I think it's really stupid. But in this society marriage gives you legal support and stuff. And of course I'd marriage a transgender. I have a boyfriend now and I wanna marry him, but in an hypothetical case of course I would do.

Not in my country. Here in the law is almost the same between marriage couple and just a couple. If I remember correct the only difference in law is that couple can't adopt a child if they are not marriage couple. Here you will not receive any financial benefit from marriage. Only other thing was if you don't have child or children then marriage is a very slightly better choice from the perspective of financial, but the advantage is so insignificant that it doesn't matter.

So you live in amazing country. But if I lived there I'd have to do it anyway because I wanna adopt children.

My main problem with this, Is that I want children in the future. And even though adopting is a good thing (sometimes) Its not something I personally want to do. And having a surrogate mother just is not the same.

Having children isn't an issue exclusive to trans* people :B

I would like to think it wouldn't really matter. Love is about who a person is, not whether their cootch or penis has been surgically created. I would just be so happy to find a soulmate. I am divorced and have had two loves. you can't put a price on love. i seriously believe that - even though it sounds overly sentimental

If you think that picture looks similar to a man simply due to having a squarer facial structure, then it's probably a good indication you should stop watching so much porn.

I don't have any problem with transgender people having the option to marry. But would I personally marry one? It is a hard question to answer. Genetically the person will still be a man, but on the outside it looks like a woman. Eh..... I probably wouldn't. But who knows?
