| Another episode with minimal content, the structure seems to be for an Angel Beats episode. * A Mission (Set by Yuri) - Usually a pointless task like collect lunch tokens or hack a little girls laptop for nothing - (Baseball in this ep) * One key story section (This episode was about Hinata memory of his past at missing the ball)- usually will be a different character each episode and it will all boil down to if they dissapear or not!- They way its being done is not enjoyable to me, it makes me wonder if they have any direction for this series? and why was the manager/coach for the baseball team the "Angel" that they were soo scared of? they even sacrificed there whole hideout to stop her and then in this episode shes normal? And that Girl with Pink hair is getting on my nerves already! To have a "Great" anime series you need to have a good blend of Character Development (flashbacks etc....) and Plot(Story), the development of the characters shouldnt overtake the Plot of vice-versa but in Angel Beats its limiting it 1 little bit which is not balanced and making the rest of the Plot of the episode seems very pointless. I like the promise of the story and the way the 1st episode opened it up but all it done was tease me with a story that could turn out really interesting and an art style which is 720p or higher looks mind blowing. I just hope they have a direction for Angel Beats and not just working off a few bulletpoints which it seems it is at the moment. |

| So let's see, they replaced a perfectly mature girl with a grown personality and amazing voice(am not talking just about singing) with a childish moeblob never shutting up typical anime school girl. Yeah nice going there. It seems like the scriptwriters can't handle a mature character that doesn't have some absurd silliness or isn't moe. Anyway this episode was medium-bad. No progress of the plot, bad humor that reminded me of an imitation of "Baka to test" and in the end a stupid baseball game that gives a shit about. Also WTF is with them casually playing a game with the Angel being there and making her own team. It seems weird. BTW with all the Haruhi similarities talk that goes around. you think they would have at least tried to avoid making a baseball game episode and make the Haruhi clone leading female forcing them to do it just because she's bored and wants to have some evil laughs. |

| Well... they killed off one of the more memorable characters and my personal favorite and replaced her with a preppy fangirl. Also, I respect what they tried to do with the opening but they lost all the beauty of the original. They included a side-story baseball tournament which just destroyed the pacing of the previous episode. All in all, the episode just wasn't that good. It felt like filler. Well, at least Key does fillers decently. The Japanese do love them some baseball. Ah, Iwasawa... why were you the first to go? I would like a little less Yui... she's only good for a few puns here and there and doesn't bring anything to the show. |

| Didn't like this episode at all. Probably the weakest one to date. I really had high hopes for Angel Beats! but at the rate it's going downhill, it'll end up as beyond mediocre. Although it did make me laugh at times, definitely not enough to make the episode good. Felt very filler. Hardly any decent plot, and it seems like they used a whole episode to maybe get one or two points across. Such as Yuri maybe being not such a nice person, and how annoying Yui is :|. and apparently everyone's pretty easy with random team-mates disappearing I really wonder how the pacing's going to work itself out. The episodes are about 20 minutes each, and at the rate of story progression goes it seems like they're gonna rush the story in the last 5 eps. Hopefully we'll see more of other characters especially Tenshi and not get some half-baked story. Also i'm sort of confused, what exactly is Yui? and where did her fangirl posse come from? Are they npcs? Were they rebels so that's why they're around? Maybe I missed something? or is it still not explained... |

| OMG just saw the episode 5 preview and there will be a concert song with Yui! :D Also some amazing EPIC stuff of Yui, Yuri and Tenshi! I can't wait to see that and there looked like someone who would take as a rocket.....excellent.....can't wait to see that on a GIF....most likely will be funny. Also looked like in the preview there will be some solving with Otonashi and Tenshi......this will be getting good but I am more curious as to what will be in stored for episodes 6/7. It will be the half point after all. |

| I love how Hinata always says things that implies that he's gay xD Also, TK's probably one of the only anime character that doesn't speak Engrish badly. He's actually got a great accent. I like how Yui's always getting owned by Hinata too xD Poor girl. But at least she stopped him from catching the ball. Thank GOD. Hinata's my favorite. I would have killed something if he disappeared. One of the best aspects of the episode was was definitely "Crazy baby" xD |

| Whaat~ ain't he a cutie :3 I thought this episode was just meh. I dunno, I might be biased since I'm such a big Oofuri fan. But is it just me, or does everything seem so forced? Really this series seems to be lacking of a solid storyline. Is this going to be one of those animes where they just cram in a bunch of seemingly different characters and place them in different situations so we can see what "hilarious" things will happen? Not pleased >:( at all. Let's hope epi 5 will be better. Also, I was quite upset that Hinata didn't disappear. Stupid Yui. Annoying characters are annoying. |

| Nice episode, that different version of the opening was great. But the anime is not serious anymore. (was it in the 1st place ?) They played baseball against Angel and lost. Well, stupid operation. |

| Thread's pretty fail from just about every perspective: good job to everyone and thank God for those that actually TRIED to contribute ideas/resolve all of your BS. Looking over the thread, though, there MAY be more to the last line than the merely implied "villain-disguised-as-protagonist"; is she being altruistic, or is it a lot more simpler than we deduce and Yuri has been the villain all along? Oh, and seeing as how everyone is associating this episode with just about every series that featured a baseball episode.... I'd say that the entire episode was a giant reference to Little Busters! (episode titles people, read them), but since you all love trolling yourselves to death, w/e. |

| Tk's voice actor is funny looking but cute in a way xD wish this episode had more Tk but oh well it was a pretty interesting episode and all :) i liked the new opening and Yui is pretty interesting hehe ^_^ i also like how we get to see pretty good character development and all :) the baseball match was funny and made me laugh and my favourite quote from this episode was Don't Stop Dancing! |

| 4/5 I thought it was pretty good, but the baseball bits were pretty boring, though funny at times. I love TK: "Don't stop dancing!' He is so random. Anyways, the new girl was interesting. Her chibi expressions made me think of Tenma Tsukamato in School Rumble. I didn't like her voice actress much, but oh well, it wasn't as bad as watching a dub. Will Otonashi ever stop asking Hinata if he's gay? Haha: "Are you.." "NOO!" Who was Yuri talking to on the phone? The voice sort of sounded like Angel. (Yuri did sound like a villain when she laughed) This episode was pretty good. And at the last moment when Hinata was about to get erased, here comes the new girl again. Oh well, it's better then him getting erased! |
