Out of the both of them I prefer Erina. It’s SERIOUSLY hinted at during the manga and anime (*recalls back to where Joichiro said something about becoming a good chef meant finding a woman that will make you want to give all the food you make to them, and then the next page/scene showed a close-up of Erina). ANOTHER reason is that out of the two, Erina has been the only one to be able to stand beside Sōma in terms of ability, and has also throughout the series been the only one of them to actually help Sōma advance his talent and become a better chef himself.

Well this is interesting. It's already as clear as day that the Erina-Soma Ship will sail past everyone, but Megumi's personality is winning in here.

I haven't watched Season 3 or the Mangas related to it, but what gives?

It's obvious that casuals taste for generic derederes and hate for tsunderes would win

Voted for Erina, I used to like derederes but now I started to appreciate tsunderes I find derederes to be sometimes extremely boring

Personally, I like Megumi better than Erina. I prefer Erina x Souma, though, as Megumi x Souma just doesn't seem fitting. They are good friends and help each other, but I can't see them getting together.

Megumi is best waifu cute timid and always reliable and had great character development where else Erina is just a tsundere with no development what so ever

This will be surprising to you, Erina is the most popular character in the series because her development is so great. Give the manga a chance. It actually gives you more depth than what the anime gives you. It skips a lot of characterization.

There's just one tsundere I'll ever respect in my entire life: Misaka Mikoto. Erina is just bitchy and I can't see anything good about her. Megumi is far more interesting, even between other shy characters. I really hope de author think so as well...
