| It was pretty emotional and dramatic for a hot minute there, but then it became a little bit too sappy for me. Nonetheless, there were some great feel-good vibes. The series is slow, which I usually don't like. But I think when I give it a chance, it can entertain even grouchy old me. Good episode! |
| Hmm so the suitcase contained a bear and the envelope Kotomi burned had a bear catalogue inside of it? Well it is a nice turn of events and I am happy Kkotomi was able to read ther parents final letter. Seeing that suitcase traveling around the world was sweet. I guess another arc has come to an end. I can't wait for the next episode! |

| What an underwhelming way to conclude this arc. Tomoya's explanation for why he didn't go to Kotomi's birthday as well as forgetting everything about her was so lame and the whole briefcase thing was simply too sappy for my taste. I wouldn't say it was bad... just too meh. So far, two arcs and both of them have been extremely uninteresting. |
| This anime so far has been a "Meh" for me, but after this episode i'm hyped up to see the rest of this anime, this was an amazing episode. |

| Ok now this is the saddest episode so far, damn I was really about to cry my tears was about to go down so I tried holding it in, my family will probably think that I'm gay and weak so I will was trying to hold it, but it was a decent arc and I think every arc on Clannad will probably have a sad ending on each arc. |

| they really did Sunohara dirty in this Kotomi arc. He could have been right there with Tomoya helping clean up Kotomi's backyard. But nope!!! IN THIS ANIME, Tomoya is the only man with a heart of kindness that all the woman love. Anywho, it was an okay arc, but im glad its over. The characters of Fuko and Kotomi just dont interest me that much due to their personality. Seriously, whats the point in having Visual Novel heroines if they dont have romantic interest in the male MC. |
| I wonder how many languages are written in that letter. There is no way it could be read by many different people across countries if the letter just written in japanase lol. I find it literally exaggerating. So at the end of the day the whole theory from Kotomi's parents are just sweet words about how to view world around. Kinda hillarious. At least better backstory than Fuuko's one. |

| This episode came to be underwhelming. The drama just felt out of place, and it didn't really "hit" me to tears. Rather it came out to be downright stupid, forced, and fucked up. |

| I'll type my thoughts as I am watching. First, how did he forget something as impactful as this? Also if someone told me I burnt something for myself I would cry even more. This Okazaki dude really gets all the girls. I am still wondering what caused Kyou and Ryou to fall for him? Something minor, but everyone in this show just walks into places lol. Does everyone leave their doors unlocked? Bruh the suitcase drifted to shore? How convenient. I am probably the only person who wanted this arc to end already lol. Not that I hated Kotomi or anything but I just didn't feel too drawn to her. Her story didn't really make a whole lotta sense. Why would her parents leave her alone? Who did she live with? How did she survive for so long? How did Tomoya forget something like that if it wasn't plot convenience? And don't get me started on the silly suitcase somehow making it to shore and getting passed through many hands and then making it to Kotomi's godfather who we didn't even know was her godfather until now. Why did she call him bad guy again? And how did she get so terrible at the violin when she was decent back then? Can trauma really do that? Alright looking forward to the next arc. Hopefully, it makes more sense than this one. |

| Kotomi best waifu in less than 3 chapters this anime gave us the reason for her actions, her dark past and the outcome of her trauma with a beautiful ending this anime is so sweet and tragic at the same time. |

| Good stuff! Loved to finally see the end of Kotomi's arc animated. Wish there was a few more details they would've gotten from the VN but I'm happy to see it all in motion regardless. |

| This Kotomi arc was just nonsense, even more than Fuuko's arc. This might be just visual novel style of storytelling, but that's no excuse. The characters are paper-thin and don't really act like actual people. Most of the time I have to constantly ask myself, "why is he/she doing that? what's happening?" The story that moves these characters around doesn't do them any favors, either. Suddenly Okazaki wants to be friends with Kotomi. Kotomi decides that she wants to make friends. Kotomi decides to hold a violin recital and torture dozens of people. But wait, Okazaki had actually met her before! And forgot, somehow! Even when he literally felt so bad for her that he ran over to her place at midnight, and got involved in a house fire. Then the sob story that comes out of nowhere, involving the death of her parents, a birthday party where no one came, and literal child neglect (did she grow up in that house by herself all this time?). Suddenly, a crisis: Kotomi might leave for America! Why? Why now? Who knows. Now Okazaki and company are under a timer to... do what exactly? Okazaki decides to clean up the yard, because...? Did Kotomi refuse to talk to him? Did he even try the ringing the doorbell? Why was Kotomi refusing to talk to him? It was a pretty scene when Kotomi came out and held hands with Okazaki, but why did she even decide to leave the house? The climactic "bear in the suitcase" was so... unremarkable, and it was kind of silly how much gravitas it was treated with. I laughed at the cherry-on-top when the show revealed that the suitcase travelled all around the world. Wow, the power of love and fate! Accompanied by the mustache guy literally spelling out, "that was the most beautiful letter I've ever read." Come on... (By the way, the mustache guy has been hovering around like a creep to... do what exactly? Deliver the suitcase? Why does he have to dress like that?) I want to feel emotional. After all, I'm voluntarily watching Clannad. But this is just blatant, cheap and clumsy. And plain dumb. And I'm feeling pretty dumb right now for expecting... more. I need a break... |
