The more I try to understand, the more it confuses me. How can someone who has consumed over 10 000 productions, combining anime and manga, still not understand that anime and manga are fundamentally different mediums? If that is understood, it should be obvious that "loyalty to the source" is a fundamentally flawed criteria.

I guess in the same way one can make these harsh claims about loyalty in KyoAni and then rate the Princess Tutu manga (9) only one point lower than the anime (10).

Oh, and based on what people usually say about this adaptation, the 10 for the Akira movie sounds equally absurd and inconsistent.

Yeah, and he has a rating on how the anime impacts on the culture. KyoAni has impacted the Otaku culture way more than Toei in the past 10 or so years, yet they're shit.

This guy has the worst grammer i've ever seen. At least take the effort in making your pointless thread READABLE.

By the way, who the hell rates anime by "how much impact they made on the industry" and "TV ratings"?
Lol are you even trying?

I've let the thread go on thinking it might generate some (constructive) discussions.
Seemingly though, it still is a random x vs y thread.
