Dungeon Meshi Episode 17 Discussion

This and the previous Ep are the worst for me so far. This "Falin resurrection arc" generally feels so out of place... Why is the mostly chill cooking show suddenly cosplaying Made in Abyss? Cruelty, blood, darkness... and it still doesn't feel accordingly dramatic, because everyone still can be resurrected. Those discussions of the dark magic, ugh. Why haven't they just said that the Falin was recovered in a state of empty bones and there was just no other way? Why is dark magic so bad when Marcille just used a dead monster's body for resurrection?

There were so many characters in this episode. Most of them had very minor screen time and were like an attention sponge - imo, fewer characters with more focus would work better. Motivation of Kabru party felt questionable (why are they even here with their situation?). Shuro was just annoying the whole episode, talking shit while doing nothing (AHAHA, just realised that this character currently has 0 favorites, even random "Corpse Retriever" bandit has 2, why is this samurai so bad...).

And then... all those characters... just randomly returned to the surface? What? Kabru party was there after 2 party wipes just to satisfy their curiosity? (what happened to their money problem?) Shuro "rushed" (according to his party words) in the dungeon so fast to save his true love just to randomly return to the surface without saying anything? Finally, Laios and his 3 friends confidently continue walking ahead after the massacre they had while there was like 15 of them? Wtf

This show is of no friends with logic. I was fine with this while it was slice of life, it was chill but with this special monster eating twist... but now with all the dramas it becomes very annoying...

Shuro kind of has the same energy as Tengen Uzui
