The art direction and production value for what is presented is a step above most of this type.
Its clearly a design choice for something that has its strength in the cgdct style. But they did not cut corners on the environment and its immersion by production alone.
The fight sequences are solid too.
Even if the small amounts of CGI in the spells. Makes you wish they cut their animation entirely. Due to how it looks superimposed on the rest of the production.

She did say "You won't fall off", but it was never properly explained here.
The bears have a special skill that keeps the rider mounted no matter how poorly they hold on. She even takes naps on them while they run.

So Yuna gets real money for killing monsters in game? I want it too :(
Not in game. This is isekai. The game stuff happens before the other events of this episode. (Unless they're planning on fucking-up the story.)
On earth: Yuna made her money trading stocks.
In isekai: Sells monster parts to guild. Also ends up doing more than just adventuring.
Ashhk said: Another VRMMORPG anime lol seems fine though, OP kuma girl can be interesting
Nope. It's an isekai anime pretending to be a VRMMORPG anime. (Unless they're 100% committed to butchering the story.)
Nunbo_Arbur said: I don't understand why Yuna is in a bear costume with bear puppets and bear shoes.
God basically trolled her.
He sent her to the isekai with nothing but the bear costume (and her money). It's super OP, super comfy, regulates temperature to never get hot or cold. She's rather weak without it as all her abilities get attributed to the bear gear. God basically coerces her to live as a bear by maximizing the advantages of wearing it and disadvantages of taking it off.

i really see the episode 1 and i need more
any know if its based in manga or ln? thanks
Yes. WN Original. LN is basically the same as WN (with pictures). Manga follows original plot.
Any of those versions is better than this version. (which so far seems to be cut, changed, and out of order)
GanguroGal said: Did the writing feel odd to anyone else. Despite beign a first episode or a preview, it felt like we were joining in media res. Or even half way through a season...
Yes, that is what they did. We joined the story at Chapter 39 of the LN. It's not originally written that way - they fucked it up just for the anime.
Nyaa said: Well, the first episode was kind of a let-down.
...
Not read the LN or the manga myself and only found out about this series due to looking at upcoming anime. I did see a couple of spoilers in this thread last night before they got cleaned, but wow.
Have to say, this first episode "teaser" feels more like an episode that you'd watch half-way into the series! Also, from spoiling myself after watching the episode and reading your own comment, it does feel and seem as though the anime has really taken a dump on the source material.
Is this meant to be an Isekai, or a SAO style of thing? because from the spoilers, it's more SAO-style, but then from watching this episode it's more on the lines of Bofuri, with the episodes just taking place inside the game, with very little outside-game stuff going on. This goes against the whole "being sucked into a game" thing that I saw on a synopsis somewhere.
It's Isekai.
The episode does not take place in the game, but after the game - several days/weeks after Yuna already transmigrated.
That's why I'm so pissed with the way they fucked-up the chronological order by making a blended mess of Chapter 1 & 40 without separation - giving off a completely misleading impression.
There's no going back to her apartment (Chapter 1) after killing the black viper (Chapter 40) - she lives in that world now. [There's no way she'd be that excited over virtual eggs. She's happy to eat something she hasn't been able to eat for a long time.]
This episode is starting from the middle.
The VR stuff is from LN V1 C1 - before she gets isekai'd.
Most of the events of this episode take place in LN V2 C39-41 - after the introductory arc is over and she's already well settled in.
The story starts with Yuna in her apartment playing a VRMMO fantasy RPG. Yuna lives the life of a HIKI NEET, alone in her apartment, spending most of her time gaming. She made a lot of money trading stocks, which she uses to fund her lifestyle.
She never got along well with her parents, and didn't like them nagging her about going to school either. Apparently, they're more fond of money than her as they left her alone and went on an extended vacation as soon as she gave them a bunch of money.
She used that time to gain her independence and get her own place where they won't find her when they get back.
So, now that she's free to live as she wishes, she lives the life of a gamer.
When the game gets an update:
...
“You have received a gift item based on your total hours of gameplay from the past year.”
>>That turns out to be the Bear Suit.
...
“Do you enjoy World Fantasy Online more than reality?” “Of course. Reality shmeality.”
“Do you have anyone important to you in the real world?” “I don’t have anyone like that.” My parents were gold diggers, and I didn’t have friends because I wasn’t going to school.
“Do you have a best friend in the real world?” “I don’t. These questions are kind of off-putting…”
“Do you have anything important to you in the real world?” “Money, I guess?”
...
“And finally, do you think the bear gear is cute?” “I do, but I don’t want to equip it.”
...
And the next thing, she wakes up in a game-like Isekai, at Lv1, in her real body, wearing the bear gear.
God was at least nice enough to exchange her money and send it along with her.
------
The novel is very well-written, and narrated in first-person by Yuna in greater detail than they'd ever be able to include in an anime.
Trimming down and rushing her internal monologues makes her feel like an arrogant character - which is not actually the case.
Going by this episode, they haven't actually cut out that much. (of the chapters they covered, at least.)
My biggest gripes are:
1. Changing things that don't need to be changed - for the worse. (Particularly things related to major plot events.)
2. Screwing up the sequence of a story intended to be told in chronological order.
3. The stylized backgrounds and overly exaggerated animations and sound effects that make the whole thing feel like a joke. It feels completely out-of place in the context of the original plot.
This is supposed to be a real isekai; not the game world - it should try to take itself a bit more seriously and maintain some semblance of reality.

@Nyaa Thanks for the Info, big appreciation there. No wonder the plot progression felt out of the place for some reason.
