| amazing psychology/horror episode and with that vintage style animation memory reel DAMN! best episode yet of the series. and it pains me to say that since it didn't have Ursula. |

| I probably wouldn't have minded this episode if the show had made any progress at all, in fact I might have loved it since it's the sort of unhinged-ness that I want from Trigger. But to me it just highlighted how this formula of one of the girls doing something they shouldn't and then the three of them trying to fix it is getting really old. I want this show to actually go someplace, I want to see Akko actually make some progress towards becoming a real witch. Well I guess she has made some progress, but it's all off screen, we don't get to see how she got better, she just is. Maybe it's not that there isn't any progression just there there is no sense of progression. But either way I'm tired of these formulaic episodes that do nothing to move the show forward, sure this one was different but it still followed this same formula and still did nothing to give any sense of progression. |
