| Yeah, this was a wild ride. I’m not sure how I feel about it other than it’s weird. I feel bad for Shion because he’s just there. Why didn’t we ever get to see his gf? This was lowkey shit and I don’t understand why the score is so damn high. It’s not deserving. I really hate people who watch anime because they’re never reasonable. | GREAT FINALE MAN I loved this show from the start to the end, the plot was just so interesting considering this isn’t actually incest at all while everyone thinks it is haha but Reiji really knows how to write bro this shit was great and I’m happy Arata isn’t a pushover pussy, he actually stands his ground and speaks his mind instead of keeping quiet, him and Shion were both a great duo hoping to see more of them 2 in s2. | I'll be here cheering for this show to get a second season, as I surprisingly enjoyed it a lot. It was fun to watch, pretty animation, interesting enough characters to create the tension. It was a light and cute watch, that I didn't expect to not drop (or even finish). Good job guys :) |

| It's been a long, long time since I experienced such a well-executed cliffhanger (the very last scene before the ending) which hit me like an atomic bomb. The ending of an anime almost tempts the viewer reach for the manga. So I did, but when I saw that it was written by the mangaka from Rent-A-Girlfriend... Well, yes, my ambitions have diminished somewhat, because the anime really isn't bad; in fact, it's really good. |
| OH SH*T CHILLS WHAT A WAY TO END IT ALL OFF HATS FREAKING OFF TO YOU SIR Ah, we're just ending with a swimsuit episode. Can't complain. A subtle "I love you" from Banri? Did she really mean it? Probably, who knows. But what's more important is that we get a lost-swimsuit-piece scene with Seiha. Boy that was deadly. Definitely did a lot of damage to Arata, although really bro is constantly horny now and everything is doing damage. But who can blame him when he's got all that around him. And the last one-on-one scene with Arata goes to Kotono. That was cute, but did any of them sleep? They went out to get drinks and when they got back, the sun was rising? Anyway, to the important stuff. End of the episode, a 3-way friendly showdown. Cards are laid bare on the table, critical information has been shared among key players; there's no going back now. Love that about that show. Almost full transparency throughout. And to add to the pandemonium, Arata was there to hear it all, unbeknownst to the 3 key players. Speaking of 3, I really hope it's just those 3 who will be involved in the game for the long run. 5 is honestly too much. Banri will be fine remaining the supportive older sister, supporting them all emotionally but also supporting Arata with her boobs. And Seiha is cool just how she is. Maybe she can have a raunchy scene with Arata every now and then for no reason. But I hope that sign at the start of the show was actually real: and that Seiha has deduced that she in fact does not carry any feelings for Arata. Banri might enter the fold eventually. But for now at least I'd wish they'd keep it simple and keep the battleground to these 3. And to these 3, respect that they've decided to leave it up to Arata to decide what to do, and whatever happens they will remain sisters for life. BUT, that is not the kicker. The episode ends with an implosion to rock the heavens to their core. There is ANOTHER. Another pair of siblings among them. Thinking caps on. What they think we'd EXPECT is it for Arata to obviously be siblings with another. The UNEXPECTED would be otherwise. But let's go with the expected-route because that's most likely the case. Arata is related to one of his sisters. Now it said "PAIR", if he was related to Shion, that would make THREE of them related, since Shion is Minami's brother. The writing strictly stated "another PAIR". Not a typo, right? If not, we can immediately take Minami out of the picture. (watch me be dead wrong. and deadass I think I'm gonna go ahead and spoil it for myself later. the manga for this is finished, right? ----- nvm just checked, still ongoing, just started 2022. But the answer to the pair question may have already been answered in that time. Idk, I'm still going to check and potentially spoil it for myself...) Now crossing my fingers and hoping that Banri and Seiha do stay out of the game. And even if Banri does join in later, the "another pair" announcement was made immediately after the 3 confronted each other. It's gotta be one of them, and it's not Minami. It can't be Ouka because she needs to be the one with Arata and they can't go incest route because even though this whole premise is a bit strange, I'd like to believe they won't go the incest route. That leaves Kotono. Sorry Kotono fans, I think she's the one who's the real sister to Arata. Both brown hair, after all. Although Minami and Shion don't have the same hair colour, or maybe one of them dyed theirs? Whatever the case, I'm putting all my chips on Kotono. Wonder why the dad kept that a secret though. Can't think of a good reason for that. I hope that he just didn't know either. Great way to end the episode and the season. It's not a cliffhanger in the sense where you respond with "AUGH why did it have to end THERE!!!", but rather, one that takes you aback and makes you think and ponder a bit. Love it. Good anime. Idc what anyone else says. Really enjoyed it. 7/10. There had better be more coming. |

| The finale being a swimsuit episode of all things—Reiji Miyajima must be absolutely jumping with glee. The Shiunji family heads off on their summer vacation retreat, with swimsuits in full force. Arata having second thoughts about the situation is understandable—it’s a proper head-banger. His first hurdle? A run-in with Seiha and her mysteriously missing bikini top, right in the middle of their innocent cliff-jumping play. She's clearly playing the long game with him, using her smarts to put him on edge. Then comes Banri, pulling Arata aside for her own little parade. As the doting big sister with a soft spot (and likely something more), she casually lets slip a confession—something that hits harder than expected. It’s fleeting, almost like a dream, but the feeling lingers. Next, Arata accompanies Kotono to a distant vending machine, a scene that hits differently. She was the first sister to openly show affection toward him, and Arata feels the weight of that history. He softens his tone, but it’s Kotono who apologizes and reassures him. Vulnerable yet sincere, she reveals how her love for Arata took root—despite the “forbidden” nature of wanting more than just a sibling bond. Even with the warmth of the candlelight at Kogen Church, the Shiunji family remains something Arata wants to protect. But he can’t keep running—not when Ouka surprises him with a sudden kiss.  Kotono's heartfelt apology to both Ouka and Minami feels like a turning point. This isn’t just adolescent drama—it’s the quiet planting of emotional seeds, suggesting that one day, this love might bear fruit. And maybe, just maybe, other sibling pairs are secretly blossoming too. Reiji Miyajima scored a surprise hit with this one—who would've seen this coming? Honestly, I thought I’d drop this early on, but I stuck with it—and I’m glad I did. It wasn’t half bad. Now I’m curious enough to consider reading the manga, just to see who the real sibling pair turns out to be. I’m guessing it’s Arata and one of the girls, but which one? One thing’s for sure: after everything that’s been said and done, Arata can’t pretend not to know anymore. If he does, it’s just plain bad writing. Strange way to end the season, though. Felt more like a mid-season finale for a 2-cour show. Final score: 7/10 on MAL. Finished on 12th August 2025 at 23:03 Hrs IST. My Fav Girl of this show is definitely this girl:-  |

| Great way to end the series with a swimsuit episode. They look good, but I don't like how their swimsuit don't match. But the girls look pretty fine. Damn. Banri intentionally confessing to Arata but he couldn't hear it. lol Kotono is so cute and looking fine in that swimsuit that accentuates her nice slim body. She's growing nice in the good parts, imagine if she's as old as Banri, she'll be gorgeous. Damn. Ouka and Minami confessing to Kotono that they also love Arata. Plus the guy himself hearing their conversations in the back. Haha. I bet his brains is on a meltdown. All 4 out of 5 girls have told their feelings, except for Seiha. I had fun watching this series I like all the girls. I'm leaning towards Oukta, but I prefer a harem ending so no one gets left behind. |
| I haven't watched Rent-a-Girlfriend but have heard much about its infamy. So I started watching this anime with very low expectations but was pleasantly surprised with how it turned out. It's far from the best romcom I've watched but is much better than a lot of similar shows. Overall a generous 7/10. |
