| Luo's alive!!! (as of now? please let that stay) Due to the surprises in the previous episodes, I was scared that something will happen before Cyan reaches Luo's hand T_T Luo should be her official guitarist now haha The orphanage dean wanted to bless more people but gets angry at Cyan for doing just that, only because he is not the one receiving the largest benefit đź’€ All the unreasonable blaming towards Cyan was funny but this in particular "If not for you, I wouldn't have spent all my money!" Lol this feels like someone regretting after splurging but not getting a gacha character. Hard work in training is needed to be competitive in combat, but high trust value is also very important, if not the most in this world. Cyan looks like a magical girl during the fight scenes. Queen is voiced by the queen Hanazawa Kana herself! This arc is more predictable than the previous ones, but I appreciate a happy ending. Cyan and Luo deserve to be happy! |

| A relatively simple one compared to the other two arcs, not really any conspiracy or anything, just people using Cyan for her powers, blaming her for them, and Cyan truly becoming herself, learning the truth of her past and coming to terms with it all. Really like how she got her powers of luck: the culmination of the will of everyone on that flight coming together and wishing for Cyan to live on. And for this one yes we do have a happy ending. Cyan's arc doesn't have that same riveting edge that Nice and E-Soul did, but it's still a good one. Now next up is Queen's I believe, but she only gets two episodes for her if I'm not mistaken. While I wasn't expecting To Be Hero X to consist of a number of individual hero origin stories, and low-key was disappointed by that, I'm glad that each one does lead into the next quite well by introducing the next character in their own arc. Kind of makes it all quite seamless- kind of. Maybe it would've been nice if said next introduced character had a more substantial role in the arc preceding them. Nice leading into E-Soul's was good, since E-Soul kills Moon. That's big, and heck we still don't even know why exactly dammit. Lucky Cyan was mentioned a lot in E-Soul's arc, but she wasn't THAT integral to his story; was just there to sing. And for Queen, she kind of just makes a brief appearance here in Cyan's arc just to show who she is and what she is about. She wasn't too important here in Cyan's origin story besides being her friend I guess and the daughter of the man who saved her. Still, all the stories are connected in a way, and they overlap each other quite a bit; it's just like we're getting insight from different viewpoints so while it is all separate arcs for the most part, it's cohesive enough as one. Anyway, good arc, but not as good as Nice's and E-Soul's. I liked the change of pace for the overall animation and having it all in 2D. |
