| Depends what first is, I'm sure I watched some Pokemon/DBZ/Sailor Moon when I was a kid on TV, but it wasn't something I went out of my way to watch and I didn't know it was "Anime". First the I went out of my way to get and watch would be the first Ghost in the Shell movie, went and rented it, still love that movie. |

| My parents had the decency to not let me vegetate in front of the TV all day and provided me with things called books, so they avoided having a degenerate weeb as a child. I saw random Dragon Ball episodes, but that was before I paid any special attention to animation enough to really be invested (I read the entire manga in HS), Pokemon also, but I found the anime idiotic even back then, I do still pick up and enjoy most of the games on their release day. The first real anime I watched from beginning to end was Death Note, this was back in my edgy phase. Still vastly overrated, I feel like it's too ridiculous to be taken seriously while also solipsistic. Oh, And Evangelion, I watched the series and I gave up on the rest, how boring and how annoying can an anime be when it stars little shits moaning all the time... just watch Zambot 3, you'll see how much of a hack Anno can be... |

| My first anime ever was Sonic X. It has plenty of problems, especially the adaptation of the Adventure games and the Space Saga, but it has some really solid episodes with good comedy and action, so it's still a 6/10 for me. |

| Sailor Moon as a kid and it was the terrible original English dub on cartoon network. I don't think I ever watched it in its entirety in order though. I have a lot of nostalgia for it, and I still really love it, but I wouldn't say it's one of my favorites anymore. I've been rewatching the new dubbed version which has been really fun (and is also a million times better) and now that I've watched more anime I can really appreciate how iconic it is. The other anime I watched as a kid was Spirited Away. Someone randomly bought the DVD for my mom as a Christmas gift one year, and I watched it all the time. It's definitely in my top three anime movies to this day and probably always will be. I rewatch it regularly. It's definitely one of my comfort watches. |

| I don't remember the exact title, it was a sci-fi anime about a guy who fought a villainous Zaibatsu and dated his father who fought her under the guise of a mysterious vigilante. Something like a Ghost Ship or something. I remember it especially well, as the scene with people dying from a dissolving body soda fizzy drink, impressed me as a kid. It's been quite a while since I last watched this anime and it wasn't as impressive as when I was a kid, but I liked it. |

I still like all of them except "in another world with my smartphone"';no offence but it was mostly trash (imo) but its opening theme still gives me chill. |
