| There aren't ''toxic fandoms'' only toxic fans. JJK has the least amount from the popular battle shounen. Probably because it's hard to argue it does anything special nor does it cause it any controversies. Apart from it having no fanservice nothing stands out positively or negatively. |

For AOT what I consider toxic is that a big portion of the readers were very disappointed by the ending of the series so a certain portion of artists decided to remake the last 3 chapters with a different ending which is pretty great also so far. For some reason some shippers started bashing them sending the artists death threats on twitter, wanting them to get sued (for their non profit work) and claiming for some reason that writing a fanfic/doujinshi is somehow disrespectful to the author although Isayama himself stated that he views fanfiction as a form of flattery which in my eyes is true. It only proves that people were very invested into his story. About JJK I haven't really witnessed it being toxic. Yes, I understand that OP is annoyed by some ships, but that in my opinion can easily be avoided. If I don't enjoy a certain ship I simply don't read about it and it doesn't bother me soooo idk what's the problem here. Overall for me what can make a fandom toxic is shipping, but only if it does it overboard as AOT Eren/Mikasa shippers do |
