Why do the Japanese only buy generic moe, shounen and wish fulfillment anime?

Well i said that it was those i've heard of, i don't keep track of every anime airing every season.
Neither do I, but if that's the case, then can you really make sweeping generalizations about what kinds of show generally sell, particularly if you haven't even seen them?

And like I said before, there are only really 3 shows out of everything this season that some might call "moeshit"/"moeblob". And it's not like all moe anime are created equal. An anime "being moe" doesn't tell you a single thing about what kind of show it actually is other than, I suppose, the fact that it might have some cute girls in it (going by the fandom's definition).

I thought you misspelled 'heart' :>

I do think hard work and dedication are very present in anime as well though. Just take battle shounen or sports, two of the most consistently popular genres. Even the moe/relax shows often make the girls work hard at something (hard-ish at least). Girls und Panzer has the tank competitions, k-on has music, aria has them becoming undines etc.. It's really rare to see anime NOT about working hard at something, and it's usually gag anime like Nichibros. Even your average highschool rom-com ecchi harem will most likely also focus on how important studying is and how people compete for good grades etc..
I probably regret this post by now.

I agree with this completely. I do think that for every "hard working MC" anime there is an anime where the MC does nothing at all and a naked elf-demon-catgirl harem forms around him and Albert Einstein shows up to give him $100. Unless being nice to girls with daddy issues qualifies as hard work - I still think your representation is far more common, though.

You definitely have both extremes.

And why do you need to complain about it, it's their life and you don't have any right to completion about it

I might be biased because I avoid ecchi/harem anime which seems to be the essence of your counterexample (and I can't deny that). I'll just say that s-o-l anime are usually more about working hard than you'd expect, aside from the genres that obviously focus on it already.
I probably regret this post by now.

OP you`re in the wrong generation.

Sex is already part of Japanese culture, also they like teen characters.
Japanese people don`t know the word Elitist too even it`s not part of japanese dictionary.
Do you play Azure Lane?

Why do the Americans generalize out the ass?
☕ Truth be told, I'm quite proud of my house blend. To attain my flavor and fragrance, I use five different types of coffee beans. ☕

Because they don't have sex...and that's not even a joke, they aren't pro-creating and it's currently a pretty big problem.

They need to let it go already. On topic, their weak hearts and minds can't withstand the evil grasps of pandering, but this is hardly isolated to the Japanese market.

Maybe its not just the Japanese, considering Madoka and SAO are universally popular.

What is popular is japan is almost always automatically said to be popular and "good writing"to the world.

Moe will rule the world with a cute fist.

It is a universal language,Its racist to assume.

All hail moe ,Ramen.
