Surprisingly enough, I know a lot more anime of older women falling in love with younger men.

However, here's what I can come up with.

Welcome to the NHK (17 year old girl, 22 year old man, there's a few eh, borderline scenes though, keep that in mind)

Ookami Kodomo Ame to Yuki (college girl and an older werewolf)

Hotarubi no Mori e (this details a young girl's affection and love as she grows up next to her ageless yokai companion, it's very sweet and romantic)

And just a good anime movie in general dealing with age gaps: Kotonoha no Niwa (15 year old boy and 27 year old woman)

Chobits had a teacher - student relationship as well as a teenager - adult relationship, both taking place in the second half of the series.

that is ok, though we are different in age, we see may of the thing the same, I tell him alot that i wish that i could from been born in his time, even if there are thing from now that i would miss,(one of which would be all the anime show that wouldnt have been make yet) but no matter what time were in, we would have felling love with each other.

I've not seen it but thats what I was going to post, it's a little more extreme than just 17 and 40 though (well a lot more extreme).

Lost In Translation is another liveaction film about a young girl meeting an older man (I think, I've not seen it).

It was a decent anime, the girl is 15 and the man is 27, the best she's going to get. Only thing I didn't like was the voice actor of the man.

Contributing almost nothing.

Blood Alone is a manga where a young girl is in a relationship with a man. He's in his late 20s or early 30s. She's a vampire, so...loli...yeah.

You are wrong they are not in a relationship. At best their relationship can be described as an older brother looking after his young sister.

Wow, that's quite the interesting love story.

From TvTropes "May-December Romance", I get Fruits Basket,

And Mai-Hime.

OH, and Kobato. I've actually seen this one, so I can vouch for it. The guy is more in his late 20's though, but you can tell the girl is a lot younger than him.

You could try Marmalade Boy, but this love involves two supporting characters instead of the main characters. And it takes a back seat for a while and isn't super prevalent. But they do end up together in the end.
Eminem meets Clannad
Just when you thought Clannad's OST was as sad as it could get ;_;

If you seen School Days, rewatch the ending while listening to A Little of Piece of Heaven by A7X. I guarantee laughs.

I didn't want to be able to give a reply to this thread but there is a very good, wholesome, subtle and touching story of a young girl falling in love with an older guy who keeps rejecting her(for reasons).

Its not anime, but you'll like it. Its called My Rainy Days or Tenshi no Koe. Available on youtube too or for download. :)
