@KenaiPhoenix None of these people went to the gym. The longest living people live low stress lives with healthy diets. The gym puts extreme stress on your body. There's a reason why most bodybuilders die at 30-40. Have fun with your future heart complications gym npc. |

@MYZIC come on man, at least bait better so you don’t sound like an uneducated baiter. First those are women, they live longer than men. You are also putting like world records, you should at least put average, they probably made it by many other reasons, and some of them are bad public systems that got their age wrong. And about the stress… lmao, just tell us you don’t know about biology, don’t worry I will briefly tell you: our body is really efficient, and what it doesn’t use it doesn’t develop it. This makes sedentary bodies ruins basic structures like muscle (this can have very bad consequences). For example, if you haven’t leave your chair in years, your legs will get weak, so the next time you stand up to get your burrito you will struggle. This is why we go to the gym, to stress our muscles so they grow. Is a totally basic and natural way to do it. And about the short life of body builders… hehehe… let’s just say they used some “supplements’ they shouldn’t. Those overdevelop muscles, and one of those muscles is the heart. If abused it will make you more keen to hearts attacks. So nobody should use them, buts that’s on them. Anyways, I take you low quality bait, but I hope that if for whatever reason someone read your post and thought “he might be right…” now can realize that is just stupid. Specially in this digital life, we should all just make some kind of workout to keep our bodies relatively healthy, you don’t need to be Barlond, but at least try not to die because you get out the chair or had to go to a second floor. And related to OP, you will have contact with people |

KenaiPhoenix said: This is why we go to the gym, to stress our muscles so they grow. Is a totally basic and natural way to do it. Gyms are a completely new phenomenon. There is nothing natural about it. This mass delusion has only been around for 0.001% of human history. Yeah because putting unnatural stress on your body everyday is definitely healthy and isn't reducing your lifespan and increasing your risk of heart attack. Our ancestors moved around to hunt for food, they weren't doing it for health reasons and they tried to rest as much as possible because that is what is truly healthy for the human body. The gym is completely unscientific and will have major consequences in the future. |

@MYZIC I partially agree that bodybuilding to the point of abusing steroids is bad for you and I personally don't go to gyms because I have a garage and can put on my own music and enjoy myself. But those people are probably miserable at their age, half of them don't look very happy. I'd rather die at 60 doing something I enjoy than live to be 115 but be an empty husk of a person who lives for the sake of a Guiness world record. As a fellow NEET, my advice to you is to stay in shape. I'm in good shape myself, but I've heard bad things about people who neglected their bodies as NEETs. You don't have to benchpress your own bodyweight at the gym, but at least go for a walk in the woods/the local park once per week. Do something to be physically active. It's good for your mental health too. |

Walk. Do anything but stay indoors - humans are engines that get powered by being outside; we're fueled by escalating steps - metaphorically - and taking a walk would be your primal step into ending this cycle. Do, repeat, do, repeat - that alone will make you feel much better - it is genuinely that easy. |

Okay that doesn't disprove anything I said and doesn't prove that the gym is beneficial. Also there is still plenty of high quality meat left but in the future real meat will definitely be reserved for the top elites. I think by 2040-2050 all meat for the lower class will be lab grown. |

Yeah when I see all those science YouTube videos about the "cities of the future" and how nice and eco-friendly it will be it just makes me feel pure dread. There are legitimate good ways to solve environmental destruction and make things sustainable but I think that the people in power are more interested in control rather than actually solving the problem |

@MYZIC Right? Natural men exercise by hunting mammoths! Too bad they are extinct. The heart rate increases so that it can deliver more oxygen and nutrient to the muscle to match its increased energy usage. And no, while exercise comes with risks, if you don't you'll end up atrophied and fat. Like it or not, the optimal health is actually with quite a lot of physical activity. And by the time you realized you ruined your health with your sedentary lifestyle, it'll be way harder to turn it around than if you started now. |

Create a goal and take the first step. That is the hardest moment. I have, due to failures, ended up losing a year, however, if you just give up, you are going to be stuck there forever. I kept trying and made progress, and now I got assets, and at least a future with my career. Even if you can't change immediately, you have to give yourself daily goals to fulfill, so you don't get complacent. I used to go for 1 hour+ walks everyday, and I just made that part of my routine, same reason I picked up drawing. Getting even a minimum wage job, is at least a step too, and it gave me stability when I was languishing, not knowing what I would end up doing with my degree. Savings of course help significantly, in actually getting going in life, and or developing your skills further to actually getting a professional job. MYZIC said: You realize that going to the gym doesn't mean you have to inject yourself with steroids with the goal of being super buff right lol? Physical exercise absolutely is useful to improving your health and self image(physical and mental). Often that is just doing some basic strength training (push ups) or biking for an hour a day. Okay that doesn't disprove anything I said and doesn't prove that the gym is beneficial. MYZIC said: .....You don't have to do that lol? Yeah because lifting 400 pound weights won't put any stress on your body and is totally natural lmao. MYZIC said: Sorry to tell you dude, after you grow into your body, the rest of life is just slow decay. If you don't exercise, that is how you also get plenty of health issues, and our overly leisure society, is partially responsible for creating them. It's literally killing you. RainyEvenings said: While there probably are other social factors, like men being often bread winners for families, and that causing stress, it is known that women do have biological advantages in simple longevity. Even if men and women lived exactly the same lives, the woman likely would still outlive the man. I guess that is the tradeoff we men get with the advantages we get. Men die early cause society force men to work. Also.....most women work dude. Even stay at home moms, have a lot of actual work to do. They aren't stepford housewives. |

Also.....most women work dude. Even stay at home moms, have a lot of actual work to do. They aren't stepford housewives.

Okay that doesn't disprove anything I said and doesn't prove that the gym is beneficial.
You realize that going to the gym doesn't mean you have to inject yourself with steroids with the goal of being super buff right lol? Physical exercise absolutely is useful to improving your health and self image(physical and mental). Often that is just doing some basic strength training (push ups) or biking for an hour a day. Okay that doesn't disprove anything I said and doesn't prove that the gym is beneficial.

Yeah because lifting 400 pound weights won't put any stress on your body and is totally natural lmao.
.....You don't have to do that lol? Yeah because lifting 400 pound weights won't put any stress on your body and is totally natural lmao.

It's literally killing you.
Sorry to tell you dude, after you grow into your body, the rest of life is just slow decay. If you don't exercise, that is how you also get plenty of health issues, and our overly leisure society, is partially responsible for creating them. It's literally killing you.

Men die early cause society force men to work.
While there probably are other social factors, like men being often bread winners for families, and that causing stress, it is known that women do have biological advantages in simple longevity. Even if men and women lived exactly the same lives, the woman likely would still outlive the man. I guess that is the tradeoff we men get with the advantages we get. Men die early cause society force men to work.

The longest living people don't exercise but that's not something you're going to be able to explain with your brainwashed beliefs. Exercise was popularized in the 1970s and is unscientific. Fun fact: Jim Fixx the man who popularized running in the 1970s died of a heart attack at 52 during his daily run. |

Staying in shape doesn’t have to mean spending hours at the gym. Just put on your running shoes and go for a jog outside. What about your goals, wanting a girlfriend, maybe? That’s a solid reason to keep pushing yourself. Wanting something can really light a fire under you. |
