| On the Crunchyroll forums, we previously had threads for each new show that was announced. But after talking things over about wanting to keep this place nice and tidy so that threads don't get lost in the sea of new show threads, game threads, or what not, it has been decided to have all anticipation of upcoming anime shows all in a single thread. With that in mind, here are some rules that need to be followed in this thread. RULES OF THIS THREAD: 1) Include a credible source for new show announcements: When posting about a new show announcement, make sure you include a credible source. It's not as critical when being posted in a single thread, but it's good to know that you are not making this stuff up. Twitter, Youtube, and natalie.mu are all great sources where news is fed directly from them, but Livechart, ANN, and Crunchyroll News, which will report on it after the announcement is made, will suffice. 2) Make it clear which show you are discussing: When discussing about a new show, make sure it is clear which one you are talking about. Ideally, you want to put the name of the show you are talking about in the header, but whatever you do don't have the viewers guessing which show you are talking about. This is something that you didn't need to worry about in the old forum, but with everything in one thread this is important. 3) Keep potential spoilers hidden: Please refrain from posting spoilers (i.e. discussion of content inside the manga, light novel, or game the show originates from) and if you must post them, do so by hiding them inside spoiler tags. Speculation and discussion related to what is written in the show's synopsis are fine without spoiler tags, but if you suspect that it is a spoiler, just to be safe put those tags. 4) This is only for anticipation of an upcoming show and not discussion of the show once its broadcast begins: Once the show starts airing and a discussion thread is made for these shows, please cease discussion in this thread and carry on the conversation in the respective show's discussion thread. |

| Sword Art Online new movie project Announcement: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwhGSYeIJBs It's hard to believe, but today is the day when the VRMMORPG game was released inside the SAO universe. To commemorate this moment, a special event was held where the announcement was made regarding this new movie project that will be anime-original. While I was expecting a new anime announcement, it was for the Unital Ring TV series, but that arc is still ongoing in the light novels, and I think Reki Kawahara wants to finish it before announcing any anime project. Anyway, while MMORPGs have become a thing IRL, not so much with full dive technology that's still a work in progress. |
