Yeah I was wondering the same thing. Like I couldn’t get in the mood to enjoy Komi-san like every week bc I kept getting distracted by the poor quality of the drawings.

Its less the animation and more the art that felt a bit awkward at times. Though in one of the scenes, it felt goofy to the point where I felt like it was intentionally done.

DOES THIS MEAN THE SHOW IS NOT 12 EP AND IS GONNA RUN FOR MORE THAN 12 EPISODES( that's the only logical solution I was able to come up with, I mean if they decided to make it so it would be a long running anime then it is completely OK to drop the animation quality and I am ok with it as long as I get my komi san every week

did you check the credits if its an outsource episode at least? anyway consistency in the anime industry is rare especially for sequels and usually only KyoAni and Ufotable does consistency good

They weren’t rushing it, some of the staff got sick that’s why the episode looked like this.

previous episodes were great and it was a bad decision to have this episode air. really destroyed my watching experience. i would have preferred a delay instead of an episode drawn by 4 year olds

Alright now. You all quite pretentious. I admit that the quality was bad when compared with what we got so far, but seriously...all this fuss over average, yet still smooth, animation? It doesn't look as bad as you're making it out to be. Besides, start talking when there's multiple episodes like this one. This was a singular episode, and there's no point in making it to be more than it is.

I don’t find any comment here toxic. All of them are quite justified in their criticisms, since indeed the Animation quality did have a serious, very noticeable drop in quality. It’s a real shame indeed for it happening to a very good series like Komi-san. Every fan has right to vent their frustration if the series their following happens to receive a rather haphazard work done to it. Hopefully they would remedy them when it goes to Blu-ray release.

I’ve used to work in Animation industry so I understand the daily grind in pushing to meet the deadline at the same time producing good quality work. But, releasing a sloppy work is no excuse. It’s unfair to the Original Author and to the Fans.

I don’t know about you but I always pay for any Anime or Manga that I follow. It’s small way to show support.

I saw this thread prior to watching the episode, and I thought this dude was just overreacting.

Now having watched the episode, yeah, wtf happened here. I wouldn't have said that Komi-san has absolutely stellar animation, but it was solid, decent, clean, and very consistent; that already is a tall task in itself. Episode 10, however, was NOT it fam

There's more, but these here are certainly the stand-out truly BREATH-TAKING shots. The rest isn't TOO bad, but it is undeniably a downgrade from the consistency and crispness we've been getting. Watched the episode on animixplay as usual, not that it makes a difference though.

If anyone wants to defend this and say that it still looks as good as ever, then, well, you do you I guess lol
