I previously made a thread regarding The motivation of the alliance. Today I will clear up some more things like-

Why rumbling is bad ?
If not rumbling, then what ?

These are the 2 big issues and i will try clear up any more issues regarding these 2.

Why rumbling is bad?
Conflict will never end. Understand this point .
Eren killing the whole world will ensure paradis' safety. No, it wont because paradis is already unstable as a nation, A literal coup happened, which will lead to infighting for titan powers. Also fighting between those who support eren vs alliance. This will lead to heavy casualities and paradis will eliminate itself. Which, lets be real, isnt worth sacrificing billions of innocent people for.

If not rumbling,then what?
Clearly the alliance cannot stop eren before destroying marley completely and destroying other countries militaries. Paradis after stopping the rumbling is safe for, forget 50, more than 100 years as -
Other countries will suffer heavy blows in their economy and they just can't attack paradis spontaneously.
Marley has a lot of enemies, as we have seen in s4 ep1. Paradis completely eliminating marley will show other countries just what sheer amount of force they have.
The alliance will be portrayed as heroes and paradis can open up for trading as it is a resource rich island and the countries will need resources to rebuild.
They will have all the titans too.

In this way both can live without genocide.
I .

Now something more -
If AOE does happen and it results in eren doing 100 percent rumbling and killing the alliance, then i have no problem with it too. Remember all of the above is a hypothetical scenario which only future will tell and many things can go wrong after stopping the rumbling and many things can go right after the full rumbling. This is just a comment on how stopping the rumbling doesn't neccesarily guarantee the eradication of paradis, contrary to popular belief, and what other choices they have.

Sorry for my english

1. Yes stopping Eren is obviously better; that's something we, as viewers can easily see. However, the characters' motivations (particularly the scouts, who directly benefit from the Rumbling) for doing what they're doing haven't been very convincing. That's the biggest reason I can't get behind the Alliance, even though I agree with their cause.

2. The what-if scenarios aren't free of hypocrisy. What exactly did the Marleyan civilians do to deserve getting stomped to secure Paradis' future?
The whole concept of the Rumbling is a mess at this point. And that's the reason it has been so polarizing among the community.

3. You might wanna spoiler tag the AOE part.

1. The motivation for warrior candidates is pretty clear, they want to save their town.
For scouts, I do agree that its not stated well however these are the logical reasons -
1. Imagine living life knowing you could have saved billions if you tried. Also as I said paradis is doomed even after the rumbling, complete wastage of sacrificing billions. Scouts know that genocide is wrong and there is still hope without it. Also its not like scouts are the only ones who killed eldians, jaegerists bombed zachary, and distributed zeke's spinal fluid. Jaegerists are more like dictators who kill anyone who opposes them.
2. Even if scouts backed down reiner, annie, falco etc will not and they will have to fight which is a dumb decision.

yes, it is full of hypocrisy however there is no backing down now eren should have followed with the 50 year plan but he turned out to be little too selfish. One side will support jaegerists another side of the fandom will support alliance. I think by doing this aot has successfuly proved its point that both sides are morally grey. IMO instead of choosing a side we should just stay neutral and see where this goes.

I see that and I completely agree. However, that's a realisation the audience came to, not the characters. I wanted to see the Scouts actually coming to this realisation and have a firm resolve to take down Eren. Instead of just watching Connie gun down his old friends because he wants to be 'a good soldier' for his family.

Exactly.

Apparently azumabito did come to that conclusion but yeah it could have been done better with the scouts however I am surprised that people don't care about dialogues. Azumabito's dialogue explains everything in 1 line

I was surprised that Floch of all people was part of such a conversation and not the scouts.
Regardless, he conveyed the situation's ambiguity by agreeing with her despite sticking with his painfully extremistic ideals.

"The thing we saw that day,
The thing we talked that day.

The thing we chose that day.

It was all what he wanted."

Just remember this dialogue from today's episode your all problems will be solved.

I 100% agree with this post, but it's really sad we need +20 of these posts for people to actually understand what's going and stop throwing words like plot armor, out of character, and traitors at us in every single post.
I sometimes forget to finish my sentences.

A civil war can't destroy an entire country, so "paradise will eliminate itself" is nonsense

I suggest you to take a look of a lot revolt in history, and i swear, youre being hyperbolistic, what happened in AoT is literally surface level, some might say its equal to NAZI on their time back then. But 1940s NAZI revolt and late 80's USSR countries revolt isnt that bad compared to previous revolt like France Revolution or Islamic/Chinese or empires in general POLITICALLY. In real life world, there's nothing who could think this way and can pull this off realistically. You're way too idealistic and i pity that because if you really did swam into practical political world you will be drowned to the ground real fucking soon.

irl? it surely cannot but in aot titan powers exist and yes, people will use it to kill the other side hence, it can destroy a country.

But if I consider ur statement to be true isn't it also true that other countries cannot attack paradis even after the rumbling because paradis is just that much powerful.

Honestly, its upto isayama he can make it so that even after full rumbling paradis has no problems and survives, he can make it so that rumbling destroys paradis, same goes for alliance's plans.
Jaegerists believe they are right and rumbling is the only way, alliance believe there are other and better ways as they have lived in marley and eren also said people outside and inside the walls were same or something when talking with reiner. Nothing is absolute so, believing that rumbling will 100 percent save eldia or believing that stopping it will 100 percent doom eldia is bullshit

Thats just what I said ig. People are against alliance cause of the ending, but imagine a scenario where instead of this ending rumbling happened and paradis was still destroyed, now people would be against rumbling. Honestly the ending was half assed as they literally just time skipped. For eg Hitler believed whatever he was doing was right, killing people to make his country great but it doomed the country instead. No one knows how will the future play out. Maybe rumbling has a even worse outcome. They are both optimistic about their plans, as anyone with their own plan is, but it need not always play out all according to it. Just look at it from an anime only perspective and you will understand
