| There is and there will be many better animes than AOT but it's all about taste. I'm not hating AOT, I did enjoy it but don't consider it a masterpiece. I enjoyed the deaths more than I thought. For me, JoJo is way better, also the currently airing weirdly cartoony-like anime called Ousama Ranking has shown much potential. I consider every anime in my list that I've rated highter than AOT to be better. Again, it's about taste. |

| Better in quality? Well if WIT get their hands on Vagabond and Berserk, then yeah, no contest, they're going to destroy everything. I do think it's one of the greatest anime of all time, but being "better" is pretty much subjective at this point. But if you're looking at the stats, then yeah, Aot is on top. |

| AOT is amazing in its own right, but I do prefer a few shows over it. Steins;Gate, Fate series, Gurren Lagann, Devilman Crybaby, Hyouka, A Silent Voice & Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood to name a few. |

| As many have mentioned before me, it depends on your taste. I think AoT does have some of the best moments I’ve seen in a long time (haven’t caught up on the anime fully, but I’ve read the manga, and several of those moments are yet to come), but even that’s just my opinion. Not everyone will connect with this show, even at its best moments. I personally feel that there are many other series that eclipse it in various aspects (don’t feel the need to list them - you can always check my profile if you’re interested), though that doesn’t degrade AoT and it’s not meant to throw shade at those who love the series. It is well done and worth the watch/read, but if you’re actively despairing that you will never find something better, that seems like a little much. There are lots of great series out there deserving of attention that do things very differently from AoT, so enjoy them based on their own merits rather than comparing them to what you consider to be the gold standard. |

| I love aot. I love its themes and setting and the plot. Of course I love the characters too. The last arc of the manga did have many problems though, but I still love the journey and the endgame did make sense. Is it the best though? Let me tell you something. There’s no such thing as best anime or manga. There can only be “favorite anime/manga” as those are types of entertainment media and they are completely subjective. As I said though, I love aot and what it explores. Will we see a anime better than Aot (anime that we’ll like more)? Probably, because taste changes over time. Will we see a anime that explore the same themes better than AOT? Will a show portray what Aot portrayed in a better way? Most likely not. Aot in itself is a unique show and I doubt there will be anything like it in the future. But as I said in the beginning, taste is subjective and many people don’t like anime like Aot and instead like Romance or sports etc. you can’t except them to say Aot is the best when it’s not their cup of tea can you? |
