What is your favorite Hunter x Hunter Arc in the series?
| My Favorite Arc: Chairman Election Arc is probably my favorite in the series because I liked seeing the aftermath of what the Chimera Ant Arc and the inclusion of Ging, Pariston, and all the other Zodiacs was really cool I really liked a lot of the introduced characters in this arc especially the three Zodiacs we follow (Ging, Cheadle, Pariston). Also the inclusion of Alluka shows the most character development or rather the final piece of development we see for killua in the series as well as the interesting complexity of Nanikas Powers which are a bit of the main focus in this arc as well its just fun to see Pariston annoy everyone and tbh I was glad to have an arc without gon but still keep him somewhat relevant. Also the arc just shows the inner workings of the Zoldyck family politics and the tension within the family with different butlers favoriting different members and especially seeing Illumi and Hisoka working together is always cool to see cause they're to different kinds of crazy. Ging is also everything he's made up to be which is really cool seeing as hes a dude who basically achieved nirvana or true freedom from life since he literally doesn't raise gon and leaves him for his own form of happiness even if it may be criticized as selfish and the scene where they're on the great tree his just amazing and even if the manga doesn't end this arc will probably be the best ending to the series in my opinion |

| Yorknew introduced an interesting set of antagonists and had good stakes as well. It also didn't overstay it's welcome either, so it is the best arc imo. I actually despised the Election arc since they revived Gon using a random plot-device that was never introduced to us beforehand. It was also shown that there were no repercussions for using this broken power at the end, so it felt completely meaningless when Gon was saved. If Gon were to have stayed in that state or if Killua sacrificed himself to save Gon, then I think it would have been a much better arc. |

| Chimera ant arc is the obvious answer here but i'll go with Yorknew City arc. The story finally took a turn for the good during this arc. Amazing Characters introduced with understandable motives. Ost's and fights were top notch as well. The Requiem scene nails it for me |

| I'd go chimera ant arc. I feel like it's more of a slow burner compared to other arcs but once Meruem is introduced the series reached a level that a lot of other shounen haven't touched imo. Hxh probably wouldn't be a 10/10 for me if the arc didn't exist. |

I mean it's only 1 episode, right? Biscuit still gets more screen time. Though I'll admit it made no sense to cut Kite in 2011. |

When I think of peak HxH moments, I think of CA. I could realy tell Togashi had fun with GI he always talked about wanting to write something about a card game like yugioh plus the intricacies of collecting cards is really cool and togashi would know about rpg games since he plays dragon quest all day lol |

I would still give it a 8/10 that arc just wasn't my favorite that being said I would never wish it didn't happen since a lot of events after that arc are directly tied to the aftermath of the arc like gons condition or the new chimera ants that spawned from the breeding ceremony I also really liked pitou and the rest of the guards especially shiapouf since hes such a great villain in the arc probably better than meruem if I'm honest since most of the antagonism and tenseness the audience feels especially for the final half of the arc comes from shiapouf trying to keep the memory of the king from coming back and remembering komugi and if he succeeds then meruem will revert to being an ant king and the human half will diminish |

| The hunter exam, greed island and the election arc are the only cases that felt like they had an actual satisfactory plot line and conclusion. That's not to say the other arcs had no redeeming or strong qualities but for a show that sucks with arc resolutions those 3 made decent attempts. I think greed island if the last half wasn't rushed could have made for a really interesting fantasy/adventure section and based on premise and connection to the overall narrative goal I'd probably rank it the highest. |

You literally go out of your way in EVERY HxH post to hate on the show. We get it, you hate it, you gave it a 1 out of 10. Just learn to move on, instead of whining about it for your entire life. But back on topic. My favourite arc is CA followed by Yorknew. I gotta admit though, even though on a first watch I didn't like the election arc as much as the others, on a rewatch I found it much more enjoyable. Especially watching Parriston be an absolute troll and knowing how it all ends. yeah the back and force betwen Pariston annoying everyone, Killua and Alluka, and Ging just getting the shit punched out of him the Election arc is just my favorite purely because rewatching it is enjoyable as heck That being said CA and Yorknew act as more of Main events in the story where tons of development, drama, and story happens compared to other arcs except for maybe election |

| My favorite is the Chimera Ant Arc. This is mainly due to the length, which provided leeway for fleshing out a lot of characters. That arc featured a ton of new characters, such as Mereum, Pitou, Kumugi, Morel, Knov, Palm, Knuckle, Shoot, etc.; these characters ended up among my favorites and most invested in within the series. In comparison, most of the other arcs, I only end up getting attached to a few characters. I consider Yorknew City as my second favorite. Regarding new characters, I only grew attached to a few like Melody, Nobunaga, Pakunoda (1999 version), etc. compared to the Relatively low number compared to Chimera Ant Arc. I imagine most of the people here have only seen the 2011 version. I would recommend others to check out Yorknew City from 1999 series; I liked the version of this arc more in 1999 than 2011. Honorable mention to the Battleship Arc in the 1999 version. That was my favorite mini-arc in this series. |

Greed Island was really confusing and the vilain was just weak and didn't seem like a threat (But Gon and Killua got stonger, so thats cool) Chimera Ant was really slow and I kinda got bored, It was interesting but they could have done better. The rest of the arcs were ok. |

I liked learning more about Greed Island and the people involved in making it with Gon's dad Uvogin vs Kurapika was amazing too, as well as any scene with Chrollo Yeah same Razor was a cool boss and the volleyball game was a cool subversion from typical fights that still had nen involved plus the game of greed island is so cool I love a card collecting game especially since I'm a big Yu-Gi-Oh fan and I'm guessing Togashi is too which is why he made this arc cause he wanted to make an revolved around a card game |

| Ah it's been a while since I saw one of these threads. Reminds me of when I was still active here. HxH 2011 is my favorite anime but I think I haven't rewatched it since 2018 or 19. The Chimera Ant arc is still my favorite arc (ever so slightly higher than Yorknew City) but I now think it could've been better if it had been like 40 episodes instead of 61 and have a bit less narration during the My ranking is probably: Chimera Ant Yorknew City Hunter Exam Greed Island Heaven's Arena Chairman Election Zoldyck Family The middle of the ranking is subject to change if I do rewatch. |

The Manga:  of course I know the reason is due to togashi's health so I'm not complaining at all |
