EtnaEraclea said: Gettin' hits and run away it's 'easy', but its less easy 'living with the problems and trying to fight them'.. so~ Robin had a sad past too, but Nami most. She fighted.. >_< for this reason i like nami so much. she's great!
What the f*ck are you talking about? o_O Facing her problems? Robin was a little girl, for God's sake!
Ok, so was Nami, but wait... what exactly happened to her? Hmm.. let me think:
Her mother was killed because she didn't have enough money to pay Arlong for not killing her.... Right before Nami's eyes...
Sad, indeed. But what then?
She had entire village somehow looking out for her and her sister. She "chose" to work for Arlong hoping that she can buy off her village... Yeah, she was strong - she lost one person after all.
And then what happened to Robin? I can't really recall... or wait! I can:
World Government decided that people, who can read Poneglyphs are to be killed... So they send Marines' battleships to annihilate her island... Robin's mother was killed right before her eyes too. The difference? Her mother wasn't the only one who died then - the library, the only place she thought "home" of was burned, all her friends had to stay on the island, waiting for their deaths...
What about the rest of islanders? They were allowed to evacuate. But guess what? No a single one of them was Robin's friend whatsoever - all the kids called her a monster.
And the only person who wanted to help her escape, her new friend, Saul, was killed by Aokiji, who let her go after that, because if he didn't he would hurt his pride...
So let me summarize:
Nami:
1. Mother's death.
2. Working for her mother's killer, so she is able to buy her village off of him, while villagers pretended to hate her (because she was working for him).
And then Robin:
1. Mother's death, as well as all the people's she ever loved and respected.
2. Her island disappearing from the surface of the planet.
3. being forced to leave, having no place to go, no money, no prospects, etc.
Yeah, I suppose you're right - Nami's story is so much worse than Robin's. And yes, Robin certainly could have had stay and fight an Marine Admiral with a fleet in tow. (no sarcasm at all...)

Personally, I don't give a damn about who's past was the saddest in your opinion. But if you say that Robin didn't fight, then it's totally different case. |
