| Finally got round to watching it! What can I say, as someone whose read the manga so knew what to expect...watching Reze take that final walk to try and meet Denji is just so sad, yet it makes such a great emotional ending for the movie... ;( Fights were on another level, but that's something we've come to expect with MAPPA being the ones behind making it. Not sure when we'll get the next adaptation since there was a 3 year gap between this and s1, but it at least seems like with MAPPA they'll make it worth the wait. |

It may divide some viewers, but the choice works: this arc needs to feel distinct. The cinematography is sharper, the pacing more deliberate, and the sound design deeply immersive. Paired with Kenshi Yonezu’s melancholic “IRIS OUT” and “JANE DOE,” alongside Kensuke Ushio’s suffocatingly subtle background score, the emotional weight never lets up. Reze herself is what makes this arc unforgettable. Her brightness feels almost unreal—playful, teasing, and painfully human. Yet beneath that warmth lies a life shaped by exploitation and violence, mirroring Denji more than anyone before her. Denji, still emotionally bound to Makima, slowly experiences affection without command or obligation for the first time. When everything collapses, his choice to let Reze go becomes the movie’s most devastating act of love. Ultimately, the Reze Arc isn't about romance—it is about sincerity in a world that punishes it. Denji learns that real love is not possession nor reward but a fleeting connection that leaves a permanent scar. It’s a story that doesn’t ask what could have been but quietly reminds us why it never was. |

| well paced but overall hard carried by it's animation, still simping man at the end of the day Solid 7.5/10 just wish all this work was put in a more deserving license, chainsaw man is no slop but sometimes sure feel like it. |
