| Welp, that was a chore to watch. Nothing really stood out, neither the comedy, nor the characters' personalities, nor the dull artwork. As someone already said, it feels like they are trying too hard to emulate Takagi san, but ulike Nishitaka, Oota is just a plain asshole and a bully, there's nothing to feel good about watching him just being spiteful and petty for nothing. Overall feels like an 1ncel fantasy, even if it transitions into some romcom, it already dropped the ball being an unfunny comedy. RobertBobert said: Lol, what? This show is about an emotional guy helping a phlegmatic girl open up by trying to evoke an emotional response in her, while she teaches him to be more sensitive and receptive. There's no bullying or even teasing here, it's a meme-driven, wholesome comedy. Evoking and emotional response on her? You mean baiting her in order to get an angry response? There's no way any of Oota's interactions would made her or any other character reply with a positive reaction. He's a plain bully with too much time in his hands. Any of my relatives that are teachers would have called him a bully and would had taken action if something like this happened in their schools. Wholesome comedy? Switching her drink for vinegar and trying to soak her with a hose in a spiteful manner equate to being wholesome? (he mentioned several times that her attitude pisses him off). Wow, what a really warped mentality. |

| Welcome back Aharen-san! This was so cute and wholesome. Kashiwada is adorable and the way she just reads oota like a book cracks me up. This’ll be a nice chill gag romcom. Not everything needs to be complex. |

| the girl gives kind of " Komi " vibes from " Komi can't communicate " but slight diffrences to the charecter .. well for the first episode I would say animations are decent but idk if its just me but the colour grading of the anime seems kinda dull/faded like it could have been more vibrant, but i'm not gonna make it as a negative point cus colour grading is something not everyone keeps same opinion about . And for the anime itself seems to be the good o'l 12 episodes adorable story , where ( here ) male mc is Tsundere xD |

| Another one I had to move to Monday, but I didn’t wanna miss Studio Polon’s second ever anime, which their first one was back in Winter 2024. And ngl, although I liked The Strongest Tank, this is much more my speed, and it seemed like the studio is handling it better too, the art and animation aren’t S tier or anything but it looks as good as it need to. And others have already thrown these comparisons around, but I definitely got Aharen and Takagi vibes from this one, and I actually got a bit of Komi too because of the text bubbles that tell you how Kashiwada is feeling, but even with those similarities I think this was still unique enough to be its own thing. I’m liking the contrast between Oota and Kashiwada a lot, it’s already made for some great moments, I especially liked the pool scene near the end when they were all having fun with water guns, they all got grilled by the badass looking teacher tho lol. And Oota may come off aggressive but it’s clear Kashiwada enjoys his company, so even if you wanna call it “bullying”, she’s not bothered by it at all so I don’t see the big deal, I think what we got here is really cute and fun, I also like Oota’s buddies, their reactions to Oota and Kashiwada’s antics add a bit to it. Also, I liked the ost a lot, it really fit the goofiness of some moments. And the OP and ED were really good, I like them both a lot, I haven’t heard Sangatsu no Phantasia in a hot minute so it’s really nice to hear them again here, they’ve done a lot of anime songs at this point haven’t they. |
| oh its one of those teasing romcoms huh.. bit childish granted they are middle schoolers but it at least ended on a more wholesome note since he was more or less just bullying her the whole time even his friends were like dude stop a real 6/10 anime maybe the supporting characters will make it better |

| Yeah why does one of Oota's friends look like he should be the long-lost little brother of Rintaro from Kaoru Hana/Fragrant Flower, lol. The pacing seems oddly slow sometimes like they were struggling to make the episode long enough, but there are a few funny/cute moments and I like tsundere guys, so I shall continue to watch for now |
| ok, a few chuckles in a few spots. the spider on a fishing line was good. even watching it i got a tiny 'eek!' in my soul from it. :D but isn't her design just a smidge too spot-on with Aharen-san is Indecipherable or Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian? more lilac than silver/white haired... but pretty close. |
