| i've noticed that my anime viewing preferences have been leaning too heavily into fantasy/high and urban, isekai/RPG elements, and science fiction for awhile now... and i've been ignoring the 'real world' set ones... or putting them 'on the back burner list' too often. so i'm trying out Fall 2025's gamut of 'real life' anime... Ep1 of this one? meh. :/ i tried Amazon Prime's Edub via my fave 'grey-web' streaming site and... yeah. just average. the art is ok. the animation is ok. the premise is ok. the music is ok. the acting is ok. this 1st Ep. seems... just ok. they definitely didn't hook me immediately. but i'm not disgusted with it either, so i'll give it 'The Three Episode Rule' and see how things go. |

Wait, Koki's junior high best friend Takuya (has undercut hair) doesn't go to North School? Awww and I kinda fall for him.
This anime deploys so many technique to make it comedy, but the first episode give me a wrong impression, and it's quite fatal one, it makes Sae and Koki relationship look like mother watching her son grow instead of romantic relationship.

'have you ever liked an indie band or unknown group and suddenly they skyrocket to fame?' she seems more like... a fan of this guy not his 'mother hen'. helping the guy drink his milk? you think that's mother hen stuff? or watching out for him during dodgeball? or giving him answers while he's reading aloud? doesn't look that way to me. |
