I really love the manga and It's story but the animation quality dropped a bunch on the second season

Misunderstanding was of course hilarious, but let's be honest, that rejection was inevitable. Seeing Iori being a real one once again tells you the guy is much more than just his goofy personality.

Remember the stuff he did for Kohei a couple of episodes back.

I will just say that I was looking forward to this season, but then wasn't terribly impressed after watching the first few episodes primarily because the Iori character was pretty much portrayed as an idiot with idiot friends. They basically leaned into that and to me the series got pretty stale. These last few episodes have brought out and explored Iori's main redeeming characteristic, which is to accept and defend his friends for who they are and what they love. That brought the heart back to this series for me and I'm enjoying the show again. I don't mind a bit of mindless comedy, but it needs to combine with something else to get me interested in continuing to watch the series. Iori can be crass and vengful, but at heart he is a good guy. Even the mean girl sees that and knows she can rely on him, when she needs support.
