It simply doesn't work for me.
I think I never seen anime so conflicting. It's like The Raid meets My Little Pony. Don't get me wrong, sometimes these mixes can be interesting and show you new perspective. But not this time.

A decent finale. It gave us excitement, curiosity, and a strong interest in seeing more of both Yamato and Chika. I’m not sure if there’s going to be a third season or not, but if there is, I’m all in, I can’t wait to see more of them, especially Chika, considering how hype his debut was, piling up bodies and all.

That was actually a pretty good finale tho!? Kinda got me hyped again but just can’t, cause Tsubaki is still there. Breathing with his booty-ass vibes, ruining the mood eugh. Huff... I might raise my final rating but won't haha. I blame Tsubaki’s backstory for making this sequel a massive flop. Dude needs to GTFO or seek help!

Loved this, and loved the entire season. Even better than Season 1.

Actually liked that last episode, as it sets up the anime perfectly for the craziness that's going to come in Season 3, which of course we're getting.

10/10.

Enjoyed it from start to finish.

Somehow managed to finish Season 2. It was way too tedious, even sillier than Season 1 and just plain boring.

This did not need to be 12 episodes. If it absolutely needed to, then it should've added more subplots, characters and character depth. As is, I had to grit my teeth through these drawn-out scenes as the season kept belaboring the same point and reusing the same cliches over and over again. If it at least moved along at a brisk pace and mixed in more fights, then I would've been fine with it, even its extreme corniness.

8 episodes might've been good:

2 episodes of the warehouse fight
1 episode of the aftermath plus Sakura getting sick and soul-searching
1 episode of Tsubaki backstory
1 episode of Shizuka and Roppon Ichiza setup
2 episodes of all-out Gravel brawl
1 episode of the aftermath and Furin council meeting

The action was choreographed and animated very nicely, but there was too little of it, and none of it really held much meaning. Tsubaki vs Man-bun was the best "talk" of the season.

Season 1 was kind of cool, and Season 3 seems to be promising some big developments, but I simply don't have faith in this series any more. Would much rather watch Kaiju No.8 or Sakamoto Days at this point...

The last episode of the second season, I wonder how it will end. Anyway, I'm sure not many people talk about this, but Nirei's memory skills are extraordinary. Bro, imagine him being able to explain many things—whether it's events or people—in great detail and completeness. Yes, even if it's only what he knows. Not only that, I think the choice of diction to convey the information is also very solid.

Looking forward to the next season. The real deal is just getting started!

They're finally telling us about Bofurin's past. I'm really interested in Endo's group, since they rely more on quality than quantity. I was hoping that the mysterious guy would be someone from Sakura's past. There's barely any backstory on Sakura other than little bits like people judging him based on his appearance and him always being alone. I feel like there's gotta be something that caused him to always end up alone other than his appearance.

This season was more focused on the development of Sakura's character, and the result is clear to see as he's a different guy from the previous season. I like Sakura's character development so far, but it would've been cool if he was with Endo from the beginning, and then have Umemiya convert him.

Season 2 was enjoyable and had good action, but I still prefer season 1 as it was more exciting for me.

Enjoyable like the first season, even tho not as good as the first season, production-wise. Tsubaki-chan was the best part about this season for me. Good season. Looking forward to more.

New characters were teased, and Takiishi Chika seems to be the strongest among Furin's history. Can't wait to see him.

Decent finale to S2 of Wind Breaker although I liked S1 more. A couple of reasons I didn't care for S2 as much was due to there being less action overall and a big emphasis on Tsubaki that took a couple of episodes. I did like the background on how Bofurin came to be and also that Sakura had some character development. I'm curious to learn about newly introduced and allegedly strongest Furin character in Chika so I'll check out S3 when/if it is released.

Nirei's recollection of Bofurin's origins was well done. I liked the style the story was told in.

I thought Endo was bad news, but a darker shadow is cast with the introduction of his buddy Chika. If he's looking for more bodies, I hope he steers clear of Bofurin. They're not going to go down without a fight.

Overall, Tsubaki's backstory was touching. The Keel arc had a great resolution and the Roppo-Ichiza arc made for a nice shake up with its new characters. Awesome season,

Everything has come full circle for Haruka Sakura. He’s no longer somebody who does thing on his own and now he has things that are precious to him that he wants to protect. He has something inside of him that will forever give him strength, like the strength Naruto used to summon 2,000 Shadow Clones in the effort to defeat Gaara. Haruka will be fighting Yamato Endo soon, but somebody will have to take care of Chika Takiishi, who is said to be the strongest person to have ever attended Furin.

Hearing the history of how Furin was united was quite something. It seems that Hajime had his friends handle the dirty work while he engaged in one on one battles with the faction leaders, which ended up with the factions becoming one and protecting the town of Furin, becoming Bofurin. However, Yamato’s faction left before the unification occurred, and his group was never defeated, so this threat is something unknown.

So will Hajime be the one to take Chika on, or will Haruka handle both Yamato and Chika? Now that Haruka is broken out of his shell, will he start to rely more on his friends for the things that he lacks?

MAN I’M HYPED UP FOR SEASON 3, BECAUSE I’M CONFIDENT THAT IT WILL BE EVEN BETTER, AND THIS SEASON WAS ABSOLUTELY FIRE!

@Alfredo-Sauce I disagree. Season 2 is leagues better than Season 1.

Season 1 had the issue of introducing too many emotional elements within the fights between Furin and Shishitoren given we didn't have the proper time to actually understand the antagonists involved and their motives while Season 2 improved in that aspect and didn't go overboard with the symbolism and try too hard to be like Naruto in that way.

@adbeaver It wouldn't make sense for Haruka to have been with Yamato from the beginning because it's clear that he isn't the kind of guy to follow orders. If that were the case, that would fundamentally change who he was from the beginning.

@perseii I completely disagree.

Season 2 is far better than Season 1. In Season 1, they tried too hard with the symbolism and metaphors within the fights to explain the inner conflicts of the characters, while this time around, things are more direct and we get more of a focus on things such as Akihiko learning to fight, the personalities of the Crowned Kings and their Vice Captains, Haruka learning to accept others, and the overall world of the series as a whole. Fighting isn't the only driving factor of the series and we got to see a lot even without the action.

Sakamoto Days is fire as well though.

That's the point, though, and a good thing. Fights aren't just fights, they need to have meaning and tell a story. The anime itself talks about how fights are "conversations."

It's why I said Tsubaki vs. Man-bun was the best fight for me, because each of them had clear motivations and an emotional arc during the fight. However clumsy it was. Season 1 had more of that.

Sure, you can have development and drama outside of fights, too, but if I'm watching an action show, I want that stuff to be woven into the action more. It didn't help that the development and the drama were pretty simple stuff and just way too drawn-out over multiple episodes, not even in an interesting way.

KingBaller06 said:

All extremely minor part of the season.

Except for Sakura, obviously, who got a ton of attention this season. But Sakura's arc boiled down to getting told over and over again by a bunch of different people that it's okay to rely on his friends.

I did like the action-less Tsubaki episode. It was interesting, thoughtful and did not overstay its welcome. I would've liked more like this.

@perseii

These minor things were just building blocks to what make the Season absolutely amazing. Season 2 has a better balance of establishing the stakes of a fight while showcasing the fighting itself by slowly introducing opposition and then revealing the inner workings (i.e. GRAVEL'S backstory).

There has to be moments of rest, even in an action show, to wither establish more info or to process it, which I believe the fight with Shishitoren could have used in Season 1. They slowed things down here, which allows things here to feel more organic rather than Season 1 trying to cram all of this within the fights themselves.

I know you didn't ask, but my favorite fight was against KEEL, specifically Haruka’s perspective because it was the awakening of his true emotions.
