| Whether you pay or not has no influence on what companies choose to censor. Censorship in anime(hentai) is government imposed, it's legislated, there's no going around it. If you're talking about certain productions being limited by their parent companies or executive producers, then that's not really censorship and again completely out of the hands of the consumer. Companies that choose to bow to public pressure don't ask each individual protester if they pay for their product, it's usually done after speaking with consultants and it's always about the bottom line. Whats going to make more money is the only question involved before a company chooses to censor/change a storyline or plot element. |
