Rio was absolutely amazing.
He destroy Lucius like he was nothing.
Hopefully he gets another chance to finish him for good.
I have ADD, ADHD & AUTISM, but this won't stop me. Let's keep having fun together.

Oh, this episode is quite good and actually catches both the story and the vibe of the source material (LN). Happy to see that. Was wondering how they'd fill ep. 12, but with all the recap in ep. 11 it should be no problem. Not complaining about the recap either, because it was very relevant to the story here. Good job.

I'm surprised that over half the ratings are 5 star, the first 16 minutes should have been 3-5 minutes. Well, if you loved this, you'll love Reign of the Seven Spellblades. Episode 6 is one of the best episodes in anime history, but the rest is drawn out like this episode, which wouldn't be as bad if Ep 6 didn't get you so hyped just to go back to normal.

I have read both Seven Spellblades and Seirei Gensouki. Both LN titles very different though.

Seirei Gensouki is darker than most isekai but still very light-hearted overall as it tries to develop many characters.
Seven Spellblades is extremely dark. Other than volume 2, 7 and 9, at least one character dies every volume. There are cases that Seven Spellblades invest into the character to make them pitiful/likeable only to end up being killed off. Not surprising since he wrote Alderamin.

To think about it, both protagonists have multiple personalities disorder. Rio is clashing with his Haruto personality while Oliver is gentle but brainwashed by his grandpa to become a psychopath.

I actually love how Haruto/Rio handled this even if his revenge did not finished. He was calm the whole time playing with his food, even questions him if he is just gonna run away like that, that was disgraceful af, actually cold.

Cliche plot where the antagonist always alive or safe. Really disliking this kind of plot.

A bit of an iffy episode for me lmao, about half of it was like "yo who is u" and Rio going "..." or "me gonna kil u" xD, then recap for emotional effect. Well anyways, I was thinking that they had mini-ultra-instinct aura for fun in the back of my mind during it. Rio sure is stronk, too bad the bad guy got away. I thought Flora would say something when Rio was about to stab 'em but ig that would be too cliché. She also picked up on "Haruto's" identity I think? We'll probably get some interaction next episode.

Never ending plan to watch list...

God I just wanna see Lucius suffer tremendously. He got off way too fucking easy with just the one arm. Kinda bs that he didn’t bleed to death or die of his internal injuries, but whatever. Even had he died there it would’ve been too quick for the 10 years of mental anguish he’s had Haruto in. Lucky mf should count his stars that Reiss got there in time.

Speaking of Haruto’s mental anguish, since it’s been so long since S1 I really forgot how fucked up things were for Haruto there for a time with his mother being murdered up until Celia found him. I was wondering why Haruto seems to associate more with this world than Earth, but it makes sense now. We don’t really see isekai protags go thru a lot of pain once they get isekai’d. It’s usually a happier life, but for Haruto he gets isekai’d after his parents go thru a divorce and then loses his new parents too! Having to overcome all that really will bind you to a place.

Hopefully we don’t have to wait 10 years to see Haruto take off that bum’s other arm.. I reckon next episode will be a chill one, probably Haruto coming clean about knowing Flora and then setting up the next arc. This season has honestly kinda felt like a nothing burger though. Other than this arc what did we even do lol

there are few exceptions like re: zero where Subaru stuffers from horrible deaths he would be happier if he didn't get isakeied

@Spaceteck Lucius's guard position is several inches closer to his neck than to his left arm, but since he did not parry at all, it would not have mattered. Rio could have been playing the possibility than Lucius could make the parry 6 but not the parry 4. With as overly high as Lucius was holding that guard six, he was even more open at the waist, the easiest play would have been to cut him in half there.

too get cut like gojo

Nah even with the pain I think Subaru would choose his new life and we see that in s2’s trials.

I really hate it when the villain manages to escape at the end of the fight. Ryo had every chance to kill this guy and he just escapes. Bad decision.

The tragedy of Haruto vs. Lucius, for the longest time, this has been the revenge fight worth coming for this season being bested between strong people, and since the latter was a killing mercenary for hire, he doesn't remember much until Haruto reveals his circumstances that made him the way he was from the beginning of the series to now. Haruto's survival involving that he met Celia and saved Flora once, as well as his parents (his mother Ayame pretty much) that were murdered by Lucius, as well as his former name that is pretty much a secret until the reveal, it all clicks now.

Both Haruto and Lucius have evolved to each their own, though it's obvious which of the two has the better overall magic capability. Lucius better thank his stars for Reiss coming to his aid to save him losing his arm, and this has been quite the battle long coming.

The only decent episode (because it's so close to the ending), and what would be the fate of Rio and Flora?

Well, as expected, as we've seen in 4 billion similar scenarios. The guy got away. When you cut off his arm instead of chopping off his head Well, that's foreshadowing for what's to come It's a bit stupid, really!

The climax of the season, with Rio not even getting to avenge his mother by killing Lucius, what are they doing seriously...

This episode was really intense. I mean, It was obvious Rio will win, we know that because is the protagonist. The main theme is how will be winning. And because someone get in the middle Rio will be having the full revenge.
