@Zarutaku How the heck did you alter the title?
@aurora_yuuki ? I just deleted Sora and wrote Yuki instead.

I prefer Yuki just trolling her brother tbh, but yeah she's by far best girl.

So this is how it is and if you think differently you are wrong: Alya does nothing to deserve Masachika she have 0 personality, she literally does nothing in 8 volume with her name in the title, beside stressing our MC, expecting him to make a move and expecting him to understand her intention by hinting him with her Russian words (which he actually does. But wtf man? how the heck is some random teenage Japanese student supposed to know Russian?) she's just attractive and have an alleged E cup and she's just the first hot girl that talk to a squeaker like him in his puberty since he voluntarily nerf himself for some reason (I mean I kind of understand but with the ayanokoji talent he have he could at least live better).
but really nothing more. No noticeable character development (
) and her reason to become president doesn't make sense.
. Yuki is the only real one here, she's unexpectedly unexpected every single time, hilarious, loyal even in her villain arcs and transcended the concept of imouto, becoming THE imouto. I don't expect a wincest but if the history of anime only gave Kirino that title, it would be a shame not giving it to Yuki who actually deserved it.

Nah, I like volume 6 with the school intruder and students learning self-defence. XD

The erotic senpai is still my favourite character. :)

Alya has turned into a master seductress in Volume 9. XP

I am currently reading volume 9. :)
@NewestPersonHere that was the best vol ngl

@DragyG According to Masachika, Alya is germaphobic, despite her being in denial. Is it true?

Rather than her being germophobic, it seems more appropriate to say that she dislikes any sort of physical intimacy with the opposite sex.

I don't even know what germaphobic is.

Is that the fear of Germans?

@DragyG Germaphobe - a person with an extreme fear of germs and an obsession with cleanliness.

here's my take, people has been loud enough regarding violent tsundere so alya is the new product, a watered down tsundere. yuki dynamic is more entertaining but it wouldn't fly on today's tv.

I feel like maybe that's why alya just didn't win me over. She's like you said a watered down tsundere. Normally tsunderes make a BIG point that they're tsundere and make it really cute. But with alya it just felt like your average irl girl with trust issues tbh idk i didnt get that cute tsundere vibe from her just unpleasant. I mean shes hot ofc but just idk. I hope she cooks in the next season but more so the romance bewteen her and masachika which imo I've realized Is lacking. I like to judge romance anime based off the romance NOT the heroine mainly bc that's just how i think they should be judged but yea

Anime would have been better if the translator was not doing censored/alternative translation.

7 episodes in, and still "alternative" translation left and right.

MC insults his closed-minded grandfather who is ruining his life on top of insulting his life, but no, that is too much, oh no, what should we do? Ah yes, we translate it as "dinosaur" since it's offensive to translate how the MC truly feels about someone who is crossing the line. And then, all the people will be: eeee??? What, what do you mean the Granpa insulted MC's life? All MC did was call him a dinosaur, how did you conclude MC is harbouring hate towards his grandpa? Ah, I can't even imagine how many people expect a list of every last scene + explanation, of why it's a bad tras

Anyway, you have to love how many people just add: Then watch the raw, not realising that not everyone understands Japanese 100% just because they know somewhat. But the best part: Oh, if you don't know 100%, how dare you speak up that a translator is doing "politically correct" censorship! Guess what? I want to watch the anime and not get indoctrinated with how to pretend something else is said than what I clearly heard.

You’re not gonna get much progression nxt szn too you know there was a confession scene but it was in Russian so I wouldn’t really count that cuz the gimmick is being overused to death at this point so yea according to source readers there hasn’t been any significant improvement in their relationship, at this point this series is more of a sol/comedy than a romance cuz it just feels lacking in all the aspects of what makes a romance interesting and good in general.

@Uruichi What?

Their relationship has undergone consequential improvement. Alya is supporting Masachika with his internal struggles and with the Suou Household while standing beside him. Each of the other characters in the cast has and is undergoing their own development arcs—hence they have their own stories to tell. The LN is way ahead of the anime. There is so much going on in the whole story than meets the eye. The romance is but a small fragment of the big picture.

I don't know what or who your sources are, but know that you've been misinformed.

Bro I’m not talking about the LN and the development that you hv been mentioning are not really development but more of a progression lmao my sources were definitely not misinformed at all cuz they hv read the current vol 9 of the LN and yes I do know that the FMC is seducing the male lead but again that’s not really a “development” when he doesn’t even understand that she likes him or even if he does the series does not stress upon that the as far as I can tell the student council shit probably gets dragged on more as time goes on but again you’re basically a fanboy of this series so it’s a fool’s errand to argue about the misgivings of this show with you.

@Uruichi Fair enough.

Masachika knows that Alya likes him. He will notice it in S2, which will adapt V4. The series' focal point is the election and Masachika's relationship with the Suou Household. The rom-com aspect is not the focus of the main storyline. Alya acts as a catalyst for Masachika.

And while I'm at it, I might as well answer if the characters do get development, whether you were wondering or not.

They certainly do. Alya's character is developed the most out of all the characters. Her character is the most touched upon. V5 is mostly about her character progression. She is no longer a damsel in distress.

Masachika, however, is still struggling with his hardships. He now gives his very best more often, even though he tends to still hold back from time to time. But he is incrementally getting better.

Made it as spoiler free as I could.

@aurora_yuuki , people will think you are as toxic as those toxic AOT fanboys if you answer that way, some of his criticisms are valid~

@Uruichi, Alya and Masachika do develop but at a very slow rate~
In the 9 volumes, Alya went from a girl who assumes that hard work can achieve her goals but ends up learning that accomplishing her goals are difficult if she continues being a loner.
In volume 6, Alya's growth can be seen when she organise activities during a school festival, not going to go into depth but she knows how to work in a team as compared to at the start.
Alya only becomes aggressive in her seduction attempts at volume 8 when she notices she is infatuated with Masachika.

Masachika also grew, from a guy who lacks motivation imto a man learning to take responsibility that his mistake in leaving the Suou household leads to consequences for his sister Yuki.

They both grow during the series, as I mentioned at a very slow rate, because the light novels spend most of the time in gags/games, such as the entire volume 4.

And Roshidere is not the slowest romance title I have read, that goes to Tenkosaki, so boring that I place in on hold in volume 2.

And there is one Russian heroine title that has no development, they magically get together, that a romance fan I know calls this the worst romance title.

Roshidere for a romance title is perfectly balanced, not fast-paced that it gets uncomfortable, not slow-paced that it gets boring. It just spends time of gags/games instead of progressing the romantic relationship.

If you want a Russian heroine romance title that mainly focuses on character development and romance instead of spending time on gags/games. There is an alternative.
