| not bad start the anime seems nice, the only problem I have is why they are half russian and not any other nationality ;/ not good with russia attacking Ukraine |

| This was SUCH a great start to watch. I'm already hooked and I enjoy the concept of having 3 languages being used in anime. It makes for a great narrative tool and also helps me learn a new language. However, I did NOT see the guy actually understanding any Russian whatsoever, so this is even more interesting than what I had initially anticipated! Time to watch this cook! |

| Well, the ecchi is there. There's some romance. There's some comedy. A special feature in the form of the Russian language. It looks like a typical culturally light title for each season. 13:23 You know I actually quite like the childhood friend girl. In most anime she would be the main girl or something. I feel she's pretty good competition. Just look at that smug smile of hers! Still she's childhood friend so too bad good luck in another life. I really do like her as well though. I hope she finds happiness like all the other Childhood friends in my head canon.

ο»ΏThis episode is an 8/10 just for the cute Russian. It's too cute when ever she speaks in russian. Anyways this looks fantastic. The Mc isn't annoying at least compared to most romcom mc's he's got some personality. The girls are unbelievably cute. He'll probably join the Student council too and then there's going to be even more cute girls. So this well probably be my Romcom of the season besides Oshi no ko which is by the same studio. Again though I really have to compliment the VA for Alya. She's probably the best choice for Alya. I love it when characters that speak two different languages are by the same VA and is fluent.
Also, another plus Alya technically is a childhood friend as well so no matter which girl THE CHILDHOOD FRIEND WINS! Though obviously it's going to be Alya. The series would burn if the author decided for him to choose the other girl for some reason.

| @Rexnihilo This is a peculiarity of Japanese law. From the point of view of the Japanese bureaucracy, foreigners have no surname, no family tree and no other Japanese documents. In other words, they have a surname, but in the same time they don't. Foreigners are usually accepted into the family and added to the existing family tree. It's easier that way. In general, the Japanese bureaucracy, like any bureaucracy, is quite annoying. They have little skill in dealing with migrants, expats and the like. There may be an additional advantage to taking a Japanese surname that I don't know about. |
