| Been keeping up with the dub, and man this anime is such a winner so far... Am I the only one who can't stand Saki? Seriously... the most qualified one is Shino (traditionally), Nagisa is clearly the best (This show would still be watchable if it was just a romance with her, a bland one though), and Rika is the most cut-throat and symbolizes that American drive. Yes, she's the jerk (an, IMO, the villain of the show), but IRL she'd be the winner off persistence alone. That hard work ethic is the real deal. Then you have Saki... the red hair who blows every chance she gets by hitting her guy whenever he gets close, who eats Nagisa's cooking while using her best friend's vacation home to have beach time with HER boyfriend. She keeps screaming how she wants him, but whenever he gets close she knocks him away. She should have just rejected the girlfriend deal, dated Shino, and let Nagisa and Rika fight over him... but then we wouldn't have this awesome show I guess. Hoping SOMEONE makes some solid ground during the beach episode. Not betting on Saki though, lol. |
