i disagree. NGE has it's specific target audience and they get the message bc they're the ones who are meant to see the show and relate to it.

What I wanna know is, do you guys think NGE is suitable for newbies to anime?

First show that I've seen was Naruto 😅🙏 I watched it with all my friends so I enjoyed it...but I would recommend something like Demon Slayer or SAO first season

I don’t like the show so obviously that means it’s bad, the hospital scene was pretty weird and I also think it’s weird people obsess over the girls in the show when they are minors. You can’t just say projecting and have it be true

Evanglion is very difficult Anime to recommend to someone especially if they are anime newbies or Normies I guess it's Anime that most be watched after taking deep dive into the Anime World

While I do love NGE it's not something I would recommend to many people, it's a show more about overarching themes more than a plotline. I think it's something that if you are really into anime you should probably experience but it really relies on being able to relate to the characters. the show brings many questions but never answers them and sadly the movies don't help too much. the value from the show I believe is the emotion, the author had extreme depression while making it and you can tell. I once heard someone say "if you hated evangelion than you had a good life" or something like that, I can't remember who said it. I'm not saying the story was non-existent but you can tell that was not what the author made it for. if you want anime reconditions I would say JJK, demon slayer, spy x family all of these are pretty new so they can talk about them with people who might not be huge anime fans. and I would also based on their tastes also recommend FMA brotherhood, AOT, and death note
