| Yooo that scream in the opening scene was an Eren's scream! That MC's look was Eren's look! His bluntness, his hatred, his stubbornness! And he even had a red scarf! What is Eren doing in this anime?! Lmao!! Goofing aside, so is the title "Mononogatari" coined from "mononoke" (supernatural) and "monogatari" (tale)? So it's like a tale of those supernatural beings or something? Now, for the real talk. The backgrounds are pretty and I liked how cartoon-ish they are but the character designs don't fit them at all. They're too simple - too generic. I wish the character designs were better. Maybe more cartoon-ish as well? You know, like characters from Tatami Galaxy? That's just an example of having unique character designs cause this anime could've done better. But the MC looked like Eren. Other characters had nothing new about them. OR you know! They could've adjusted the backgrounds instead to fit with the characters and the setting. Also, their master - Botan. A girl who loves tsukumogami. I get that. But we're talking about a master here - a MASTER. Maybe I'm just too biased, but knowing Botan was a let down. Wish the master wasn't a student but an adult instead. I was thinking of a softhearted dude but actually firm and strong. Someone who could lead those supernatural beings. Someone wise with words. A naturally charming person. Someone who Eren MC could look up to, learn a lot from, and be his leader as well. But Botan?? Idk. I am not convinced here. I know what they're doing here and where they're trying to go. But this ain't it for me. Seeing the title, I was hoping this would be a good anime, 7 at least. But this is painfully average, bringing nothing new to the table. I can already see where this is going (mainly because they decided to put Botan there as the master). Tbh, this would've been better if this was more dialogue-focused or character-focused and not romance or even action. But the dialogues are boring and the characters are generic. The premise had promise but the execution didn't deliver. Idc what happens anymore. Dropped. |

| IDK anything about this series and I'll never watch it but seeing it with a low score brings a smile to my face. Glad to see this failing cuz when I saw the title I thought it was a Monogatari Series announcement. #1MononogatariHater. |
| Since I finished two 2023 Winter season shows this week, I thought I'd start Spy Room, but then I realized it was on Hi-Dive, time to check out BTEC JJK....ok, so they got suits like in CSM, too. The girl is named Botan? I've heard that name somewhere before. |

| There's something decidedly flat about the visuals of this anime. Not to say the plot or characters are exactly brilliant either, but they still have some potential, unlike the action scenes. |

| It wasn't bad but I'm disappointed that the MC wasn't a bit stronger in the fight. It would have been more interesting if he had fought off a couple as they went after him and then got knocked down. He just seems really weak. The other characters seemed ok, not a lot to say about them. Guess I'll keep watching. |
