| What a nice surprise this show was, really fun, lovely characters, interesting plot. Marin is different than I thought she was going to be. Super nice, golden retriever energy lol love her! Season 2 when? |

| This show has been satisfying to watch, right after finishing the whole season once I immediately started a re watch. Then after I was done rewatching I went ahead and order volumes 6-12 of the manga. Gojo is truly relatable, while Marin just exudes bubbliness/charm/sexiness that I can't get enough of seeing her onscreen and makes any man want to protect her at all cost. I hope we get to see a second season soon. |

| I havent watched much romance anime in recent time so coming into my dress up darling i didnt expect much but man, this show was very nice and very wholesome. I liked every episode and seeing all the different cosplays Marin put on was nice and seeing how Wakana made them was entertaining. Overall this show was a nice watch with some very nice animation, i cant wait for season 2 and i may need to watch some more romance anime. I really loved the ending of this episode, ugh!! When your favorite character is saying goodbye… I don’t even care that she was technically saying goodbye to Gojo over the phone — it felt like she was saying goodbye to me!
Honestly, I started this anime just because I wanted to watch season 2. My excitement was zero, and I didn’t expect to enjoy it even 1%.
I just saw that the manga was finished and thought, “Oh, finally a story with a proper ending, I’ll give it a shot.” But I was *shocked* at how good it actually was. The first two episodes were a bit boring for me — I’m not really into heavy fanservice — but the rest of the show turned out to be really lovely.

| Appreciating a horror movie's effects and costume design too much to get scared by it is such a Gojou move lmao. It's also funny how even during a finale that doubles as a fireworks episode, Marin saved the confession for the bedtime call instead (which is way more wholesome). This was way sweeter than what I was expecting and I only wish I checked this out sooner. Can't wait for Season 2! |
| Just finished rewatching the show, and I honestly can’t believe I managed to wait three years for the second season. Really, I was already hyped, but affter rewatch -specially the second half of the show- I might be twice or trice as hyped! Hoping that next season delivers!!! |
| I'm even more excited about S2 now after rewatching! This is definitely one of my favourite rom-com anime, just slightly below BokuYaba for me. I really like how Gojo and Marin's relationship develops, so hopefully we'll see them progress further. |
| Marin had to loll her tongue out instead of going with the typical anime firework confession route. Actually made me laugh there lmao. Reminds me of a similar experience I had with my female friend. ππ€£ Overall, I had a lot of fun with this show! It was an enjoyable journey, even with its unrealistic elements. But I think that's precisely what makes it fun. Looking forward to the next season tomorrow! |
| cant say i was aware of people being into napes before this show. again this last ep kinda just ends though it doesnt feel as bad when s2 is airing. off to season 2 i go. |

| Well here we are at the final episode to this entirely wholesome show. Marin was apparently not going to the fireworks because of his dad being insistent on doing her homework so luckily Gojo was there to help her out. Went to the school to retrieve some stuff that Marin forgot about and then immediately went to the school pool which I’m kind of jealous they have one when neither of the schools I went to had any. And then it’s revealed that she can’t swim. XD Just genuinely adorable stuff. And then to add the cherry to this lovely cake, we have the festival scene and my god Marin looks so beautiful in that Yukata. And the fireworks were just spectacular to look at and Marin sticks her blue out at Gojo. XD I mean I was honestly thinking that there was gonna be a kissing there but no that one threw me off and I was just laughing so hard at that moment. It was great. I just knew once the ending had finished there was a bit more and Marin confessed to Gojo that she loves him! Oh yeah a little bit I missed was the fact that they both watched a horror film earlier and apparently Marin wanted to see it but it turns out she’s a big scaredy cat but Gojo is completely unaffected by this movie and is interested in the finer details of it. The movie itself is literally a big shout out to Texas Chainsaw Massacre which I appreciate a lot. And of course she asks Gojo to comfort to help her sleep and I feel that’s a very fitting ending to the first season of My Dress Up Darling. From start to finish like I’ve said before, is a very wholesome series about cosplay making, the dynamic between Gojo and Marin is absolutely incredible, the animation is pretty top notch and it really wasn’t afraid to present the fan service in a realistic manner. I had so much fun with this one, so many laughs and I’m glad Cloverworks came us this anime as a whole. For the first season of My Dress Up Darling I’ll give it an 8/10 overall. Pretty good all around for me. |
| Not in a million years did I think this would be one of my favorite anime, the beginning really had me worrying this was just gonna be only fanservice disguised as a romcom/slice of life but I am surprised at how heartwarming this was, I definitely recommend watching this (just preferably not with your family lol) and to enjoy the ride. |
