My Top 3 in this season
1) Spy x Family - It's really wholesome and funny, I don't dislike anything in this anime

2) Summer Time rendering - It's really interesting and keep me on edge of my seat, the animation is really good too, the things I dislike in this anime is like you mention the lack of emotion, I find it pretty weird how everyone just seems so normal in the funeral as well as the fan service

3) Kaguya Sama - It's pretty good, the strong point of this show is definitely it's characters though sometimes the jokes are unfunny and can be boring

1 YaBoy Kongming
unexpected anime that's great in terms of music, story and characters

2 Spy X Family
great adaptation of the manga I've been following since the 15th chapter

3 Summer Time Render
good anime about time travel and different from other anime with similar theme

So far i'm watching

Kingdom 4th season - Loving it still.

Ao Ashi - The same recycle sport formula, you can pretty much guess what's going to happen next.... Still enjoying it though.

Shield hero season 2 - So far it's been a little disappointing honestly.

I intend to watch Spy x Family at some point.

ooooh, favorite. I'm one of those dorks where "favorite" and "best" don't always mean the same thing. so Spy x Family is obviously great and I like it a lot, but...

1. Kaguya-sama s3 - firing on all cylinders now, we're headed to the moon. This is going to be a season for the record books.

2. The Demon Girl Next Door s2 - I love how a lot of the lore is weirdly dark and yet it doggedly maintains the same goofy, optimistic tone. It's like if Madoka got ripped away from the Urobutcher and given to someone who heretofore only wrote yuri-adjacent gag manga. Shamiko is a gift. Plus, hey, the plot do be moving tho.

3. Love After World Domination - It's just been bringing the goods, week-to-week. Not only that, but I was watching Kuroitsu last season, and boy, it's nice to have a similar kind of show, but with a real budget and competent direction.

Honorable mentions: Spy x Family, Deaimon, Aharen-san, Science Fell in Love s2.

I'm watching SEVENTEEN shows. but I'm not yet watching Summertime Render.

Paripi koumei - I think is a very well balance anime. It has good characters, soundtrack, humour, chill while being very creative. By far my fav of this season

Spy x family - fun and wholesome, easy to watch, with a bit of action and suspense.

Kaguya sama - 3rd season of this anime. Through the whole anime the main characters become, to my point of view, very coky and cheesy. However while loosing the bitterness of the first season, understandable because the characters relationship have to grow, it still conserve a good amount of quality jokes and well developed characters with new inclusions. ( So far even better than the second season)

As a bonus I wanted to add komi san.

And would like also to add that got disappointed with shokei, it starts with a creative perspective to fastly become in no time the typical isekai. And the shiekd hero. we will se how it develops but so far ...

Have on my to watch list summer time render and tomodachi

Executioner
-Pros: looks great, interesting take on isekai, I like the characters, I'm interested in the world and its history
-Cons: I think the red enemies are kinda lame

SpyxFamily
-Pros: looks great, funny as hell, I like the characters
Cons: I'm not especially invested in the story or knowing about the world

Skeleton Knight
-Pros: enjoyable MC, satisfying my Overlord itch, blinking like a mage in Vanilla WoW
-Cons: the story is kinda cliche

Paripi Koumei - I don't really like isekais, but a reverse isekai? For some reason those are absolutely hilarious to me. This show is no exception and I love the tongue-in-cheek Game of Thrones vibe it gives off. Genuinely makes me interested in Chinese History too. There are some surprisingly touching moments and the music and OP are also great. I don’t really care for the most recent rap arc, but am looking forward to how things proceed regardless.

Paripi Koumei is not an isekai, or even a reverse one, since Kongming gets reincarnated in the future instead of another world.

1. Shokei Shoujo no Virgin Road

I really like the story and the worldbuilding, it isn't like most isekai imo. I also really like the way the MC is, and no character has been able to bother me which is pretty difficult, Momo is crazy so there's always something with her, Ashuna is very fun to see, Akari gets more interesting specially after the most recent character, and Menou is simply a type of MC I like as I mentioned above.

2. Date A Live IV

I have been waiting ever since it was announced, this season has been very good and it is getting to the best parts, I have been really enjoying it so far even if they cut something but those moments are kinda insignificant to the overall plot.

Third is really difficult, and I cannot decide, really, but the others I'm watching are Kawaii Dake ja nai Shikimori-san, Spy x Family, Koi wa Sekai Seifuku no Ato de and RPG Fudousan (I think RPG Fudousan would go below the other 3, but it is still nice to see).
Is date a live plot progressed or animation improved because I continue upto s2 and like s1 but same date a girl add to harem make me bored in S3 and drop it even though how spirit came to earth seems interesting to me.

You need to rewatch the whole series. There are a lot of hints that most people missed that will lead to some big reveals at the end of the season.

1. Date A Live IV
arguably best animation and visuals this season, good fights, plot progression towards bombshell reveals
2. Kaguya Sama
good intense comedy moments
3. Aharen
kind of a gimmick show

So far my top 3 is composed, in order, of:

1 - Paripi Koumei
I like the songs, the gags and how Koumei's implication in the story is used (with the war strategies) it makes the anime really fun to watch. I don't really dislike anything so far, maybe the 5th or 6th episode (I don't remember anymore) was a bit boring because it was in introduction to a character and was not focused on the main ones.

2 - Birdie Wing: Golf Girls' Story
Fun casting, pretty visuals, insane soundtrack, and a little touch of yuri. I don't think the show is excellent or what, but I can't point flaws out.

3 - Deaimon
The chill vibes are what I love the most, watching an episode before going to sleep appease my mind, the nice dialogues, nothing to seriously think about, cute characters' interactions it really is the best anime to just chill in the bed this season imo. And for the cons, it's not really something I dislike, but as the anime is really chill and slow paced, I don't think it's for everyone, and especially not for those who are looking for action or fast paced slice of life. This should definitely please to Barakamon fans.

I know you're talking about the Spring season. But I'm still in the Winter season with 8 series + Kimetsu no Yaiba and have 15 more series to check.

So if it's alright with you, I'll share my current favourites from Winter:

1.Sabikui Bisco
2.Koroshi Ai

And that's it, I still have a lot to watch, there's not even 3 of them.

I'd like to note that I've significantly paired down my selection of seasonals to watch with this season since I still have a handful of series I haven't finished from the past two seasons yet (autumn of 2021 and winter of 2022) and I realized there's a lot of lower quality seasonals despite however intriguing the premise may initially sound on first perusal; that in combination with the fact that I want to aim toward getting back to mainly watching "older" series (by older, I don't mean it has to be from 1970 or 1981; it can be from 2015; I just mean already finished airing/concluded series).

Watching a lot of seasonals was something of an anomaly for me anyway. When I began watching anime in 2016 I didn't start watching seasonals, nor in 2017 or 2018, nor 2019 when the rate of my anime watching picked up dramatically. Even in 2020 I only watched a few currently airing series. It wasn't until 2021, due to some life events and especially in the spring and autumn seasons, where I watched a truckload.

Anyway, from the current season, I'm actually only watching five series. And two of the five are continuing after having already started in previous seasons and one is a returning series which began in 2019. Leaving only two completely new series.

I'm watching:

- Digimon Ghost Game (continuing series; began in autumn of 2021)
- Requiem of the Rose King (continuing series; began in winter of 2022)
- Ascendance of a Bookworm season 3 (returning series; began in 2019)
- Birdie Wing: Golf Girls' Story (new)
- Estab-Life: Great Escape (new)

All are around 6/10s for me, right now, with me enjoying Baraou no Souretsu/Requiem of the Rose King and Estab Life: Great Escape the most.

The former could be most improved if it had a dramatically better animation budget and more fleshed out writing to make it a lot more evocative and in-depth comparable to something like Vinland Saga as, if not the literal "gold standard", than still a desirable aspirational model to follow for all historical fiction dramas and epics.

The latter could be improved by better writing of worldbuilding and plot details, character dialogue and interactions, etc. I don't expect Ergo Proxy (for those familiar with the similarity of the two premises), but there's a lot more imaginative work they could do with exploring the nature of the world and implications for all the characters involved conceptually, yet it's fairly airy and surface level. I'd like to see how the domes differ beyond superficial aesthetics and some tropey humor. Of course the clunky CGI too as I always prefer traditional 2D animation, but that's a given and the easy, low hanging fruit. It's serviceable for what it is. It's the kind of CGI animation which wouldn't actually bother me at all if the story writing was superior, like Kemono Friends.

Of what I've seen, Deaimon is the only one so far that I can say I really like.

Like: It's pretty mature and atmospheric. The female characters are interesting and actually well written with their own human struggles. It manages to usually hit that spot where you're somewhat interested in the plot but also don't mind just basking yourself in the world and characters. Also, the ex-girlfriend character Kanoko in particular is great and provides much of the best dialogue in the series.

Dislike: It's a bit too slow and meandering for its own good at times. Itsuka's parents are too removed and in the sideline considering how important they are to Itsuka's character especially since the series has reached its midpoint now. Also, the male MC is too childish and dweeby considering he's like 30.

Also, I plan on watching the third season of Bookworm as soon as possible and that will almost certainly be a favorite.

my top 3 is
1. Aharen-san:
It obviously abuse the gags to an extent that could bother some people, but it pairs an interesting and diverse comedy delivery (Limitless references, subject diversity and knowledge, good rhythm) with purposeful and engaging relationships between the characters. The repetition doesn't feel stale past the first episode, and the main character is such a goofy mfer
2. Kaguya-sama:
Self-explanatory
3. It is hard to put something here but it would be between my 6s which are:
Summertime Render: It is just an aesthetically proficient show that delivers entertainment and thrill, not really that engaging beyond that, kind of like Odd Taxi 4Fun feelings
Machikado Mazoku: I'm just in the second episode but I feel like it is somehow a downgrade in terms of pacing, maybe it will get better
Spy x Family: Too much le meme product placement for my liking. I like the themes portrayed but I don't like how it tries to force the feelings in the way it does. Also the comedy is downright hideous most of the time
Dance Dance Danseur: It is extremely juvenile and naive, which I kind of dig, and I also like how it actually moves me through the stakes of the actions. Sometimes the characters models are off-putting because of the inconsistencies

Probably my third will end up being Machikado Mazoku if it sorts the issues that I have with it though

1. Paripi Koumei
Loving the opening (and the rest of the OST), and really enjoying Kongming and EIKO as characters.

2. SPYxFAMILY
waku waku ✨
My favorite thing about it is probably the camerawork.

3. Either AOASHI or Dance Dance Danseur
Dance Dance Danseur starting out great but then they started to focus a bit too much on the drama surrounding one of the characters I don't like (atleast yet). AOASHI has been solid all the way through, just a nicely written sports show which feels grounded.

Not sure which one I'll put as number 3 since I'm not 100% sure which direction Dance Dance Danseur is going yet, but as I'm writing this - AOASHI gets the spot.

2. Spy Family (wholesum.wholesum.wholesum.wholesum.wholesum.wholesum and the animation's clean asf)

3. Paripi Koumei/ Love is war/ Komi-san S2/ Tomodachi game/ Otome Game sekai/ Nijigasaki S2/ A Couple of Cuckoos

Spring '22 seasonals' are amazing!
