The Rising of the Shield Hero, episode 13.

The attack on Melty was a way to frame Naofumi Iwatani (the Shield Hero) for kidnapping Melty Melromarc (the second princess and first in line to the throne). This may not only be intended to harm Naofumi’s reputation but also to discredit Melty herself.

The Three Heroes Church not only excludes the Shield Hero from their imagery but also appears to be actively hostile toward him.

Melty seems very eager for Naofumi to speak with the king. She might be hoping to intercede for him, or perhaps she’s just being naive.

Raphtalia seems pleased at the idea of going to Siltvelt, possibly suggesting it's her homeland.

We get confirmation that the queen outranks the king in the political hierarchy. Melromarc is a matrilineal monarchy.

Melty knows that if she returns to the capital with Malty, she will be killed.

The queen controls a small but elite group of spies directly under her command.

Naofumi now faces a choice: go to Siltvelt or meet with the queen.

Malty is burning a town to prevent Naofumi and his team from escaping.

And another episode of absolute garbage writing! Can't believe this was accepted to be released like that. My god, I can't even. How is anyone believing anything related to Malty? Why would the other "heroes" believe anything she's saying after everything that happened? No one can be this stupid, unless the writer is way too lazy to write a decent plot.

It is my sincerest wish, that the slut princess dies by the end of all this. I think future rapist hero could also die and I'd be pleased. Toss in the wussy archer bow guy too, for good measure. Ren can stay, since he's the only one of the group who seems to have any virtue AND anything resembling a brain in his head. That's questionable as well.

Also, I'm with the other posters who say the writing is awful here - it makes zero sense any of them would believe the slut princess at this point.
