No because why would I change my ratings for season 1 just because I didn't liked season 2. Season 1 was a masterpiece and for season 2 I'd just pretend it does not exist.
No. Season 1 on its own is still one of my favorite anime seasons I've consumed so I still have it at a 10 on MAL. I'd have S2 at a 0 on MAL though if it was possible. My overall rating on the series would be really low because season 2's influence is a massive one when rating the whole journey but it doesn't change season 1's rating in a vacuum for me.
nah because i liked season 2 lmao
I would only change my score for season one because it doesn't hold as much meaning to me as it did before, but i'll rewatch it before I make that decision
No. It was a 7/10-tier series for me after watching and completing season one and remains so. Yakusoku no Neverland season two was an absolute, abject disgrace and a failure on every level I dropped four or five episodes in, but there are a lot of series where I've only watched the first season and only have interest in watching the first season and regardless base my ratings and evaluation of the series as a whole on that.
I didn't rate Yakusoku no Neverland season two officially since I dropped it and I never rate anything I haven't completed in full. If I did, it would probably be a 2, which is the lowest rating I've given out (don't have any 1s at present) and only two other series have that honor so far.
But as I said, it's not just Yakusoku no Neverland. I haven't watched and don't have any real plans or interest in watching either in the foreseeable future or ever at all past season one of multiple series like Steins;Gate, Yami Shibai, Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, Golden Kamuy, etc.
The reason among them differs. Sometimes I like the series, but not enough to want to continue to see more of it when there are other things to watch. Sometimes my opinion of it is even more positive than that, but I just believe the story of the show ended conclusively in the first season and was a whole, full story and continuing it further would only serve to take away from it and drag it down. If I knew how abysmal season two of this series was going to be, I simply never would have started watching it in the first place.
