| Glad both celebrity sister make up with each other, it was kinda cute how both sakuta and nodoka holding hands while coming from the beach. I thought it was their mind that swap place with each other but turns out it was their appearance, when they suddenly revert back to their own appearance and that bone cracking sound it made was creepy asf. Nodoka in the end saying she kinda understand why mai fall in love with sakuta kinda cute lol. Next arc is probably bout kaede considering how we met sakuta's parent and kaede also start to show development for her own self. |
| Oh, I forgot that they didn’t swap bodies, they physically transformed into each other lol, that scene was so weird. But that’s the end of Nodoka’s arc, it ended nicely I’d say but imo it’s kinda held back by the fact Mai seemed to not struggle at all in Nodoka’s shoes, like yeah she put in the work and practiced but that must’ve been very unpleasant to witness from Nodoka’s pov, the sister she’s been compared to her whole life is also amazing at her own job, maybe even better, it honestly makes me surprised it even ended well after that happened lol, but the idol performance was cute at least. But this was partly saved by a few things for me, the first is that the moment Mai and Nodoka made up was really good, you could really feel the sisterly bond even if they are half siblings that barely interact (also Mai slapping Sakuta was so out of nowhere but hilarious lol), and the second thing is that Futaba brought up a point that I was wondering about, being that maybe Mai was jealous of Nodoka too, and I think she’s right about that, but Mai is really good at hiding it I guess, I would have liked it being more focused on since this situation involved both sisters heavily but I’m happy with that one mention of it, it does fit Mai’s character too after all. But even with all that being said, I think Nodoka’s arc is probably the weakest so far, and that’s even reflected on the amount of favorites she has on MAL and in this thread lol, but it’s no fault to Nodoka, I like her a lot actually and I wished we could have gotten more of her in her own body, perhaps in the movies she becomes relevant again but I’m not certain about that, oh well, her arc was still really good even if it was the weakest imo. And next up is the final arc of the season, being Kaede, the end of this episode doesn’t seem like it’ll lead into it but they did the same thing with Shoko before. |
| Mai's save for the lead singer that tripped was way too clean, what the heck. Can't really blame Nodoka for feeling she couldn't do something like that because like, who could? It's neat that the sisters made up and all but I wasn't expecting the actual reversion process to look so sudden lol |
