| I've already achieved that over a decade ago, haha! I joined the Anime Watching Challenges club, doing a variety of specific challenges, so I keep discovering new (and sometimes obscure) anime. I look forward to the day when I'll reach the 10,000 anime milestone, heh. Can I reach that achievement in my current lifetime, tho? :P |

| As someone who is closer to 3K Anime....reaching 1K Anime depends of your objective: -If you more cares about numbers and very little about content, you can easily reach 1K with very short stuff, your days will be very low but you make sure you increase your Anime numbers quickly. Example: 50-75 days watched, 1K Anime. -If you care about content and numbers at the same time, you can watch a lot of 1-cours or 2-cours (even 1 entries but with long duration like movies), they increase your days watched and Anime count at the same time. This is perfect method if you don't want an easy path or a hard path. And this what most people do since most . Example: 200 days watched, 1K Anime. -If you care more about content than numbers, you can watch long-runners and 3-cours to 5-cours and above. Eventually you'll reach 1K Anime anyways at a slower pace but with high days watched. Example: 600 days wached, 1K Anime. I generaly did the normal path and hard path. I only do the easy path mostly if I'm doing specific challenges for the AWCc. Ironically, it took me less time to reach 2K Anime than 1K Anime, despite I started watching Anime seriously in 2017/2018 (basically when I created this account), since my Anime count started to increase more over the years, at the same time, I started to enjoy Anime much more and my mean score increased. Generally, most people tend to enjoy less, watch less, rate Anime more harshly over the years and even stop watching certain genres they used to watch or enjoy before the years while I'm the opposite. This is my timeline: 12/31/18: 332 -2018: 140 Anime completed 12/31/19: 466 -2019: 134 Anime completed 12/31/20: 567 -2020: 101 Anime completed 12/31/21: 1000 -2021: 433 Anime completed. 12/31/22: 1350 -2022: 350 Anime completed 12/31/23: 2000 -2023: 650 Anime completed. 12/31/24: 2400 -2024: 400 Anime completed. -Right now: 2891. |

| Doubt it. I currently have 312 completed, which is a mix of full, shorts, movies, OVAs, Specials, etc., and already consists of all Anime I've watched since I was a kid. Also, I'm only managing 40-50 shows a year, and that's just because I've mostly been jobless these previous years, and had so much time to watch Anime. xD But even if I start being busy again (fingers crossed for 2026 xD), if Anime remains my main source of entertainment-- getting to watch at least 35 shows per year, I'll have about 2 decades to reach 1000 completed... assuming I'd last that long. xD EDIT: Just realized this is a very old thread. xD |

| Already did a long time ago. Didn't change my perspective on the medium itself, but watching more anime from a wider variety of genres did. Now the left to reach are 10k anime and 1k days. That'll happen eventually. |

| I have around 600 under my belt now but i stopped speedrunning to 1000 a couple years ago when the diminishing returns started to become unbearable. I dont think i will reach a 1000 ever since my pace nowaydays is around 2 anime per year lol. |
