| Das Lied der Elfen war damals so eine Art Einstiegs-Serie fuer Erwachsene, die mit dem Medium Anime zuvor nichts anzufangen vermochten. Rueckblickend lustig, da es ausser ein paar interessanten Ansaetzen, Gore und Schockeffekten so gut wie gar nichts zu bieten hat, und dementsprechen eher kindlich anmutet. |

| There's nothing "elitist" about both of your lists. Isn't this word mostly used by those who are "offended" over someone voicing their negative opinions about their favorite series here? That actually makes them elitists with tryhard beliefs as well. -g- OT: I won't repeat myself nor judge harshly: Monster flows better as manga, and Fate/Zero's second season got ultimately butchered - but was actually better than the novel, which had a lot of superfluous text. I should probably lower its score :/ |

| ^^ Steins;Gate is really overpraised for an anime which has a real snoozefest of a first half & cheesy harem elements that feels unfitting in a show with such a serious theme & plot. Overall still a fine anime with the intrigue of the sci-fi elements & thriller aspects of the second half, but far from being worthy of the enormous praise it gets a "masterpiece" or "one of the best anime ever". ^ Haruhi is mediocre at best, man & Lain is basically an NGE peer, a.k.a. an obvious mediocrity as well. |
