'Tokyo Mew Mew' Manga Gets New Anime Adaptation

So is this a remake of the old anime using the original manga series? From how I read it thats what it is and I hope that is the case. Like most others commenting here this anime was one of the first animes I watched. I have some good memories with this show, I would love to go through the story again in higher definition. I hope for greatness! One of the better 4kids ones in my opinion. I will have to go back and watch the old Japanese one again now!

I'm excited, so many things happening to this franchise after years of not being in the spotlight.

Am I correct that its getting 2 new manga, idol group and a reboot show? I noticed a manga poster with Mew Berry and Mew Ringo in it, but no Mew pudding?
